My wife and I love this garden tool. It is the best at removing weeds from our garden and does it efficiently.

This hoe should not be used like a regular hoe. The idea is to let the blade just skim under the surface and cut the weeds off from their roots. Yes, the roots will still be in the ground so the weeds will grow back but the sharp blade makes performing this task super quick and easy. I did my whole garden in about 10 minutes and didn't even break a sweat. Periodically cutting off the smaller, tender weeds is the key to this hoe's success.

The stirrup hoe is razor sharp and works very well to skim under all the weeds. Then the rake side, with tines pretty far apart, helps me drag the weeds to the edge while separating the soil from the weed roots. It works quite well. Handle is metal sections with plastic screw joints. On day one, it seems quite solid and durable. We'll see if the plastic joints hold up, but it seems quite solid. If the handle ever breaks, it would be simple to get a wooden handle and install the hoe/rake to the end. Overall, I think this is a VERY well-designed hoe/rake combo for weeding my shrub beds around the perimeter of our house. I rate this a definite BUY!

First, you should know you're getting 2 Tools for the price of one; and the price is even cheaper than the Single-Tool version. Next, this tool is made of a very strong, one-piece, heavy black iron-type metal. The tool part is NOT held together by nuts bolts and screws; it's simply one piece which attaches a 3pc extendable handle which you can shorten or extend the reach most comfortable for you. I'm considering ordering another one just to have on hand!

I love this tool. The hoe feature allows the dirt to pass through rather than build up on the surface. The rake feature roughs up the ground for surface planting like grasses. Seems very well made. My “go to” tool, very multipurpose.

To be used in LIGHT weeding and cultivating, perhaps in well loosened soil. I was able to use this hoe for appx. 15 feet in my garden before the handle began to bend ultimately snapping in two at the finish of 20 feet max use. Although the plastic connectors are strong, the steel used in the design of the handle is extremely thin and weak resulting in a lack of durability. However, the head is sharp and appears of good structural quality. I advise planning to replace the handle with a sturdy wood or solid steel for extended durability.

Very useful tool for clearing grass, weeds and plants out of the way on a perfect 4 or 5 inch wide space. I can't wait to try it again in the spring. It fills a space I didn't know I had.
