Worked great. For a while anyway. Bought this a year ago and used it intermittently (less than monthly) for the first 8 months then more often (twice a month) in recent months. The last time I used it (before the holidays) it wasn't staying hot. I was trying to figure out if it was related to the position of the cord but I finished the project before resolving that question. The next time I went to use it the rod didn't heat up. It got a little warm near the tip so current was being passed, but I could hold it so not really hot at all and not usable after that. I tried for a half-hour and then later I even took it apart to make sure a wire wasn't disconnected or crossed. Everything was as it should be - just never got hot anymore.I used it less than a dozen times but didn't spend a lot and it came with lots of tips and other good stuff I can use with the new one I bought locally. The new one cost more money (double) but has a temperature control, which I learned was important for how I need to use the tool.This first burner was good enough to get me started. Just don't expect a long life for the low investment!

This is a good quality tool set! I got this for my for Christmas and like it! Since I often do some little soldering and wood burning work at home, I had tried many irons. Most of them are poor quality and break down after several usage. However, this one is in really nice quality. I am very happy with it coming with multiple tips for use on different designs and projects. I also like the case to store everything in. The only think I do not like is its pen seat that are not very stable.

This is a very nice quality set. Since it is a gift that has not been given yet it therefore has not been used, hence only four stars at this point. I should like to review again later as I feel it will meet, or excel our expectations.

It has worked decently. I purchased for my husband who has used it for a few different projects. I do not believe there are any major concerns. Will update once I have used it more often.

Got this as a Christmas gift for my daughter. Don't think she has tried it yet. Looks pretty good with all the different tips and a neat case to keep it all together . Good value.

Worked well. The fingerguard didnt really guard cause it got to hot. Then it stopped working during second use. But the company was good was very nice and sent me a replacement.

Only complaint is that some of the contents are damaged, nothing big just a plastic container was broken and there was loose bits. Other than that great product for a hobbyist.

Super value! Not only does this kit come with an amazing assortment of tips, it also includes a case that is large enough to hold the pencil, all of its tips, its stencils, and the stand! The pencil part has a pair of flared disks near the handle that help hold the pencil in place in place on the stand. This important safety feature is missing from some competing products.
