At a glance this looks expensive. But should I have bought it? I could go to a local supermarket for a fry pan at about a tenner. So why does it cost so much? Well for a start its construction is substantial. Stainless steel encapsulated in the aluminium base ensures that all types of hob can be used, which is of great importance to owners of induction hobs, which are rapidly gaining popularity. The combination with aluminium assures even heat distribution to the food, so localised areas of burning are a thing of the past. The pan sits firmly on its very flat base, on top of our glass-ceramic hob. It does not have that annoying wobble. This reinforces fast, even cooking. The handle is very solid in both the sense of being strong and in the sense of not being hollow, so it cannot collect washing-up water like many older, cheap fry pans. The handle widens and has two openings near the pan. This allows air through, minimizing the heat conducted to the hand. This is clever and stylish. It tends to increase convective cooling of the handle. The end of the handle is held to the pan by two reassuringly-large rivets. One glance says these will never come loose. The part of the handle you hold is thick, allowing a really good grip with a "good feel". The Circulon circular indentations inside the pan, ensure that the food releases easily from the non-stick surface, for which exceptional long life is to be expected. The pan is anodised, which is an electrolytic process coating it with a hard aluminium oxide (like rock). Aluminum oxide is used for grinding tools, so expect it to not wear out quickly! The non-stick coating inside the base is reckoned to be one of the most durable in the trade. Now I will tell you a fact. Before buying this one, my wife already had the larger model of Circulon fry pan. She absolutely swears by it. It is the best frying pan she has ever owned. It makes lovely omelettes and no, it does not make circular rings on the food! So yes, I think I should have bought it, and expect that it will be in use for many a long year ahead, unlike all those old supermarket fry pans we have regularly discarded over the years, because they have lost their non-stick, and have developed warped, non-flat bases. If you want to buy wisely and would like not just a pan but an investment, save up, because your kitchen needs one of these!

Six months later and I am still impressed and is the best frying pan I’ve ever had. Good weight but not heavy and had feel of good quality handle. Worth the money and has kept its looks and easy to clean. Will not be buying any other brands n future.

Another winner from circulon. Have a set of pans that are still non-stick 30 years on with daily use. Bought a Circulon wok that continues to deliver and I expect nothing less from this beauty. Some have reported that it's not non stick. It probably won't be if you don't use oil. But if you do, oh boy is this pan good. You can get away with using a lit less oil than others, heat distribution is fantastic and I really don't care if others find it hard to clean, you're not using it right. Half the time I only wipe it out with kitchen roll and it's like new. This range is not cheap, neither is it the most expensive so if you're looking for something that lasts, it's a good option. Just be aware that as the handle is metal it will get hot but ONLY to the end of the cut out part. Looking forward to more perfect omelettes for many years to come.

I cannot get enough of this little pan. I use it to cook things in which really would be better being cooked elsewhere just because it's such a pleasure to use. It looks wonderful, really luxurious and robust. It is real quality item. I have the Circulon Elite pan set and every time I look at this frying pan, I dearly wish I had the entire set. The only reason I did not buy all my pots from the Infinite range is because I couldn't afford to.However, the reason I did not buy the 20cm Elite frying pan is because I knew there would probably be issues with the handle being heavier than the pan and it tipping over. With this pan, that doesn't happen as the gorgeous aluminium base is heavy and stable. Nothing has ever stuck to my pan and it's a dream to wash.Circulon Infinite is still my dream cookware range.....I would love to own the entire set!I wouldn't recommend the Infinite range for people with wrist pain or weakness as the pans are quite heavy , but this pan is so small that you might just get away with it.

Bought this dry pan as I have already got the wok. The non stick is of a very high quality and it is easy to clean. Hand no problems with cold spots on mybinduction hob it seems to distribute the heat evenly.

Excellent product, my second one. I bought over 10 years ago, but just needed a newer version, despite being double the price I paid originally, however it is a great frying pan.

delivery terrible , pan dented and damaged need help

So I've had a milk sauce pan for quite a number of years by the same brand, and that has lasted me a very long time, with no real signs of wear and still non stick after about 6/7 years use. This is equally as well made; the non stick coating is just the best of any frying pan I've ever had, and i can't see any reason why this item won't give me equally as good service for many years. I can 100% recommend this brand. They just go on and on and on.
