Easiest Way to Get a Pet to Take a Pill
My vet recommended this pill wrap to me. It is the one they use in their office. It is the easiest way I've ever found to get a pill down a dog. It even worked for my cat the one time I tried it on him. It's like bacon flavored silly putty - you just wrap up the tablet in as little or as much as you need to mask the taste. How much I use depends on how big the pill is and how cooperative the dog is going to be. Use a little more for less cooperative animals or larger pills. My little dog just scarfs it down and it's the easiest thing ever. I just make sure I offer the wrapped pill for him to take from my outstretched hand and watch him eat it right there, rather than tossing it to him or letting him grab it and run off. That way I'm sure the meds got into the dog. I can even use it to differentiate pre-wrapped dosages or meds. I just shape it into a ball for the morning dose and into an oval for the afternoon dose. This stuff is versatile and so useful. The little containers are good for small-item storage after the pill wrap is gone, too!

Good product but cats can be finicky
Works awesome.....until it doesn't! This isn't any knock on the product, we loved it. Easy to use, pinch off as much as you need to wrap pills of different sizes. The issue we had is that cats can be very finicky, and after using this for a few weeks suddenly one day our cat simply decided he would not eat this anymore! Even without a pill in it he simply won't eat it. Worked great until he decided he wouldn't eat it anymore!

SUCCESS! Give it a shot!
SUCCESS! I have to give my cat Fluoxetine daily. She HATES the taste, so I’ve had to get creative and trial & error different methods: traditional pill pockets, crushing up and mixing with a Delectable, mixing with FortiFlora, mixing in wet food, etc. It’s so much effort and a struggle every time trying to disguise her medicine and making sure she consumes the entire mixture. We’ve found methods that work, but they’re always somewhat short lived, and then it’s onto the next creative solution. However, recently we got to a point where she won’t even consider the mixtures. In a time of desperation searching for that next method, I randomly stumbled across this product. I was skeptical because of the reviews, but I am so glad I tried. My cat now takes her medicine hassle free thanks to this product! Notoriously she’s very selective of treats/food, but she actually enjoys the taste of this!I truly think a product like this just depends on the cat. Some will like it, some will hate it. But for ease of administering meds and making yours and your pet’s life a little easier, it’s definitely worth at least giving it a shot :) Highly recommended!

Works every time!
Our small dog had knee surgery last week. Over the course of a day, he needed five pills or supplements. Very quickly he learned how to lick peanut butter off the pill and leave it behind. We failed hiding it in cheese, meat, or dog food. I bought this pill wrap. It's very sticky and impossible to lick off. More importantly, my dog loves how this stuff tastes. Now he looks forward to his "treats" throughout the day. He hasn't gotten tired of it. He gets all excited when I give him the wrapped pill. It's easy to pinch off the amount you need and then add or take away to make sure that the pill is covered. I flattened them out a bit. Some of his pills are so large that I have to break them in half so that the treat isn't too big. I am going through the jar pretty quickly but that was about 9 servings a day from morning to bedtime including the full pills and half pills. 6 days x 9 is 54 servings and I have a quarter jar left. I ordered another jar. Soon he will be down to one tablet a day.If you are worried about your dog not getting his required medication, this product is great.

Worked on my cats
Update: I can't get the cats to chew these up like treats, probably because If they chew it, they still get the taste of the pill. What I learned though, is that some pills taste so nasty that your cat will vomit after you give it to them with a pill shooter. In that case, you can put the pill inside this stuff and use the pill shooter to make them swallow it. They don't get any taste of their steroid, and don't vomit. It also helps pills go down easier.I have three older cats, and they all need to take medicine and one had stopped taking it with pill pockets. I bought this in desperation too try to avoid using the pill shooter with her. The first time I offered these to her with her pills inside, she practically inhaled them! I was so relieved! It worked for two, maybe three days, now she won't have anything to do with this stuff. After getting such good initial results with her, I tried it for the other two cats, whose reaction was similar to the first one's, except that where they used to grudgingly take their meds in pill pockets, now I have to use the pill shooter on all three. The good news, the stuff really does smell like bacon, it's not unpleasant to handle. And its consistency is sort of like a stiff clay, so your fingers don't feel gross after handling it.

Product that really worked!!
I have to say this product is amazing. I have been trying to feed medication to a stray cat and he has been a very finicky eater. He doesn’t eat treats and wouldn’t touch the soft food with the crushed medication. I took a chance on this because I didn’t know what else to do. The pills were cut into 4 pieces and wrapped in this. He actually ate every piece (8). I am so thankful and relieved that this worked. It might not work for every cat and dog but it is definitely worth a try. This cat was really picky. Thank you!!
