OEM knife sharpener
Most companies want you to use their own sharpeners for their knives. This is made by the company and it works great.

I'm a novice at this. It works.
I have both a regular and a Chinese knife. I don't have the skill set and patience needed to use one of those stones and hold the knife at just the right angle to sharpen it. I pass it through this thing a few times and it gets sharper. I don't know if it's good for a restaurant kitchen or anything but it works for me.

Chips knives, but does sharpen
If you need something easy, then sure. But if you're wanting a quality sharpener, look somewhere else. I don't know how/why, but each knife I've used on this ends up having chips in the edge. It sharpens VERY well, but it's not a smooth edge anymore. I find that the "smooth" sharpening is less damaging, but of course, it's less effective. Give and take. Again, if you need something now and don't have a lot of money, go for it. It works. If you want something long term, something else.

Bought these for my scissors and more
I am a big ordered from Amazon, so we get so many boxes and we like to recycle. In addition I have over 300 Christmas inflatables and each year we pack them up and have to cut them back open.My scissors were super and I have zero experience sharpening scissors. The one my wife previously purchased I couldn’t make it work. This was easy. I read the instructions, read some reviews and 5 minutes later I was opening boxes with so much less effort and stress on my hands, which I have bad nerve issues so everything to make it easier helps.WAs definitely worth it. I bought one for my 22 year old because for Christmas we bought her loads of dishes and knives etc so when she moved out she is prepared.Well worth the money as I ended up using them on all my scissors and knives.
