When I purchased these scales they were even better value than the currently advertised price - but are still (Sep 2013) great value at the time of writing this review.A little unattractively named ..... "Body Fat Scales" ..... as they do much more than that! And unless you are looking for clinically calibrated, expensive, trendy designer alternatives, then these should be just the job for almost everyone... from the generally health conscious, to dieters/slimmers and body-builders alike. (Please note they have a reasonably generous capacity limit of 150kg / 330lbs).They are simple to use being auto on/off, and simple to programme for up to (I think) 12 separate individuals if you want to use the personalised full body analysis function.Just stepping on automatically operates the weighing function only.To keep progress of your full body fat/muscle/hydration etc status, you simply key in your initial details using the (relatively) easy to follow instructions (allowing for a few minor translation issues). You can choose between Imperial (for those who like the old money system), or Metric units, for your personal profile.Your individual profile is then listed as an identity number (1 to 12), and then you just select who you are (your ID number), step on, keep still with your bare feet on the two stainless steel contact plates, and within a few seconds you're "analysed". Simple!The last results are held in memory and can be reviewed at any time, until you ask the scales to re-analyse again.The scales are slim, lightweight, easy clean - and with the auto-on/off function you don't have to worry about battery life being depleted. Will have to see how long the small button battery lasts - but this is easy to replace from the housing underneath - I'd expect at least 12 months should be available in normal use?You can pay an awful lot more for other similar products - but I doubt you will actually get anything comparable at a better price.Well worth the money in my opinion, and I would not hesitate to recommend.Good luck on your own health quest(s) - and thanks for reading!

For the price excellent. Unsure of accuracy, different to doctor's - AND it does depend on the floor. I like the functions and the ability to change between pounds, stones/pounds and kilos. It measures parts of as well. Would appreciate a bit more explanation of the significance of the messages.

Unbeatable price. I was a bit worried at first, but this seems to be working really well. The figures are consistent with those from my old scale (weight a bit higher, other figs a bit lower/higher). Best of all, the figures are displayed much, much quicker, really a bonus as I weigh myself in the morning, and am usually in a rush! Easy to set up. No problems so far.

This has to be used on a perfectly flat surface or it gives the most random readings. I had a 6 pound difference in my bathroom when I used it on three different tiles. Have to use it on my living room floor to make it accurate. It is because it is so slimline, which is nice, but I'd prefer an extra few millimetres of height so the measurements are better. It does let you program for multiple users which is quite useful. Overall, it's pretty decent value for money.

Amazing for the price! Seem to work consistently and pretty accurately as well. Hell... you just can't knock the funtionality for the price, even if they are a little inaccurate (which I don't think they are but other people seem to be whinging on about it, although I'm tempted to say a lot of people are in denial and/or stupid and/or don't account for the fact your weight can fluctuate up to 2lb just by drinking a pint of water.I find these scales to be superb. Very happy with them.

Was initially quite happy with the scale. Have used it for about three years. Currently, I am having issues with it. The scale does not turn on properly and requires me to take out the battery and reinsert in order to use. Has become a nuisance now. I am guessing they're made to only last a few years.

These scales are great. Didn't need the body fat or the hydration monitor so as normal scales they are great. Stylish, easy to set up and as I don't move them around the room they are accurate. I researched several before buying these and read many reviews so knew what to watch out for. The price was amazing too. Very happy with this purchase.

This does what it is supposed to. The basic weighing is fine and obvious, and this is probably how most will use it. The more detailed information (body fat, muscle, hydration and bone parameters, plus something impenetrable measured in calories) require entering personal information including gender, height etc. I have done the latter rather in spite of than thanks to the manual, which is awful and needs rewriting by someone who can not only write in this language, but also who knows what the scales actually do.I can confirm that unless you have a faulty specimen the accuracy of weighing is fine and reproducible if the scales are placed on hard and even surface. The other parameters' measurements depend on the level of moisture of your skin, so will be different for example before and after the shower/bath. This will be the case for most of the scales with gadgetry, so I would not worry too much.
