Nice quality, fair strength. Not as strong as steel- but much lighter and easier to cut and work with.

Was looking for a grate for a pit that was 3 feet deep for my gas stove's vent unit that required a snow fall to prevent the vent from being covered by snow during the winter. In other words the town required me to have a place below the outdoor vent for my downstairs gas stove for snow to go in the event of a snow storm. If the snow accumulation became significant enough to cover the vent, this could prevent the downstairs stove from emitting the gases or fumes that would back up into the house and cause a serious or harmful event or even death. The pit if left uncovered posed another risk of anything falling into it. So, I was forced to find a solution that allowed snow to not accumulate beneath the vent but also prevent people animals and the like from falling into the pit. This grate was just the thing I was looking for! I searched and was amazed at how limited my choices were. I had to be less than an inch high in order to fit under the vent and sit on the blocks that formed the pit's walls. Again, this fit my needs and then some. I stood in it and I weigh 215lbs. Very strong! After I cut it to my needed dimensions and installed it over the pit, a great sense of relief filled me knowing nobody would ever get hurt if they fell into that hole. The color was also a plus since it matched my foundation wall and patio blocks!

My deck wraps around an egress window. I needed something strong enough for a least a kid to walk on, but still be light enough to lift off in an emergency. 2 of these fit the bill and matched my grey deck perfectly. I had to slightly cut both to size, and a circular saw cut it like butter, just don’t breathe the fiberglass dust or get it in your eyes. This holds me at 220lbs with very little flex. Super happy with the end result and value!

I was building a custom catch basin to capture stormwater coming off my driveway. I needed a grate that could be cut to the right size if needed. Using a oscillating tool cut the grate very easily but didn't affect the structural integrity. I was also surprised by how sturdy the grate is. I have no worries standing on the grate. Also driving my riding lawn mower won't be a problem. The delivery also came very fast, one week early. Another nice touch was the top of the grate is painted with a sand texture paint so someone won't slip on the grate. For someone looking for a catch basin grate that will see non-vehicle weight this is a great choice. For anyone that need the thickness for design purposes it's 1 1/8 inches thick.

Got this relatively quickly. The build quality is nice. Supported on 4 sides it has only a slight springiness to it with my #255 body weight. The grit "top" is well done. Actual outside measurements on the non textured side come out to 36.25" x 25.75". The wall thickness is 3/16" and the squares are 1.25"x1.25". The grit side adds thickness to all the webbing on all sides. My biggest gripe is that it's only 1.125" thick. NOT the 1.5" listed. I planed on using this in a small deck build with 2x6s as the flooring but now I need to come up with something nice and weatherproof with a .375" thickness. Not the end of the world but would have been nice to know when purchasing. This would be SUPER sturdy at an actual 1.5" thick.

A friend had something like this from working on a construction site. I finally found it on Amazon and bought it for wiping shoes at our back door! Husband LOVES it as he no longer gets fussed for tracking dirt into the house!

This is very heavy duty. I put this along side of our driveway under the lawn to help support the lawn when car tires occasionally make depressions in our grass. Worked well.

These things are great. I used them for water features we build in outdoor spaces for our clients.
