12V Power Supply

Lightweight and really works well. Rated for 30 A no problem running anything that has a peak load of less than that.

This thing does Exactly what it says it does. Display for the voltage. Puts out more than 400 watts just fine. The fan comes on when it starts to get warm. It seems like an actual heavy duty Appliance. The first time I used it it smelled like a heater I was worried I was burning it up. Once the smell burned off I quit panicking and realize this thing was able to crank out 62 volts at 8 amps. It didn't even blow up when I accidentally took it up to 9 for a minute. It comes with a spare potentiometer and even a few crimp connections. Quite frankly this thing does everything it says it'll do. The voltage display Works despite the fact that before I was able to plug it in I thought it was fake. I'm using it to charge lithium ion battery is it so I have to be very careful with turning the potentiometer very small increments because just a slight turn can move the voltage up 2 tenths of a volt and cause the amps to race from 4 amps quickly to 9 amps.

Great value, fan a little noisy so it’s best to mount in a remote location.

The Power supply for my CNC spindle works intermittently so cannot be used. I found this power supply on Amazon and ordered one. The first one come with dents on the box and the case. I requested a replacement and it came next day. This time, it is perfect and works flawlessly for my CNC. Even though it is marked as 48V, it can be adjust up to 50v if needed. It also has an LED display showing the voltage. One thing to note is that as it comes in setting of 230v AC, in order to use in the US, it must be set for 115v input. Otherwise, I don't find any problem. I gave it a 4 star rating because the first one came has dents and with two screws missing. Amazon send me a replacement immediately and I can return the damaged one for free shipping. The only thing I hope is that it can come with a power switch. Right now, I need to use an external switch to turn it on and off. It comes with some connection tabs and an external potential meter for adjust the voltage. As it already have an voltage adjuster and wire hookup is pretty easy, I don't think these are necessary. If you don't need these additional parts, you can buy the same product on Amazon without these parts to save about 4 Dollars.

The power supply works fine and can reach near the anticipated output. The unit doesn't get hot when under load running my homemade boombox. Although it has difficulty with high inrush currents as those go beyond its limits and it bottoms out at 8 volts or so when this happens. My solution was just to put a set of resistors on a switch that act as a precharge circuit. Overall this thing has been running for some time and has done well. If i needed another i would buy another.

Packaged solid. Bought this to run my diesel heater. The unit feels solid and it also came with some fantastic connectors for ease of use (for beginners). Will submit an additional review after it’s been running for a while. Diesel heater is a VEVOR 8kw model. << for reference.

So easy to set up. I recommend this one instead of the other type where you have to screw in each wire and adjust the amp output. This one is just connect it and done. Sooo much better and less of a headache. The only thing I wish it had were cable lugs options. It only came with 50A lugs and they were way to big for my cables. I had to go to the store and get smaller ones 16-14 guage cable lugs.

Died after less than one hour of actual use - load was ~16v @ 2amp / 32 watts. About 1/10th of specified rating. I suspect most people purchasing this are using much less than that- or just never bother to update the review when it fails. PSU seemed really nice at first, tested a few times with no trouble. When I actually put it onto the load though, it started to make a hissing noise after about 10 mins, voltage started dropping and then poof! $43 gone.. I bought it a year ago for a project I’m just now completing, so I doubt there’s any chance of repair / replace- but I’ll definitely update if so. Buyer beware - better to pay the extra $$ for a genuine ”Meanwell” brand, or go with something made in the USA with a warranty..:/
