Fantastic
If, like me, you grew up with Jules Verne's books, this is a real treat for you. The book contains some of his most exciting titles; the man was a genius and his stories so much ahead of his time (literally and metaphorically). This is a lovely edition with a stunnng cover; admittedly it's not the easiest one to read as it is, let's face it, pretty fat and so not exactly one to carry around, but I till find it convenent to have an omnibus version rather than separate volumes as my bookshelves are crammed already. A lovely gift for any fantasy enthusiast; in fact, t's an absolute must if you're into the genre. It's just that afterwards you will find that nothing will match the author's high quality of writing.

Great Book
I've been after a book that compliments my collection of modern classics, I have hardbacks by Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams as well as other classics from H.G. Wells, Tolkien, Homer and the Brothers Grim :) Missing was Jules Verne and when I saw this bound one I knew it would fit in well. It looks fantastic with my others on our bookshelves and is a pleasure to read. If your still reading this review you already know this a book you want and it wont disappoint it feels great to the touch and reminds you of what a book should be. A bit to heavy to be chucked in a bag and lugged about but then that's intentional, it deserves to be read in the same room it is shelved in and enjoyed. Easily earns its 5-Star rating!!!

Beautiful book with gold edged pages
From the Barnes and Noble Classic Collection this book is stunning with much of Jules Vernes books included. Book quality is unquestionable with leather binding and gold edges to the pages but sadly the print is a little too small for me even with reading glasses - I had to rebuy it in another format and just keep this book for display purposes. Still a good value for money purchase and it looks stunning on the book shelf Cons - small font

Very beautiful, but some of the gold has come off the cover ...
I have loved Jules Verne's stories as a child and am excited about revisiting his works in this very beautiful collector's edition. However, I noticed some of the gold has rubbed off on the balloon on the spine, as well as the top of the cover. I don't currently mind -- this gives it more of an aged/antique look which I kind of like, but I am concerned about more of it potentially coming off in future ...

Bought as a gift for an Verne enthusiast He loved it. Only problem is the text is tiny. Would recommend a magnifying device page.

Aristocratic book that excludes Quality
When this book arrived I was not disappointed. Right away I could see that book is sealed with cellophane wrapper. The edges of book are gold and feel good factor is there with this book. This item has a quality feel to it. The book is a present for a 8 year old girl and having read Jules Verne when I was a similar age I know that the stories here are very good. The VFM here is consistent with Amazon's competive pricing so no cause for complaint here. This book and its novels are priceless and any one looking for a present for someone young or older can not go wrong here.

One for permanent collection!
It's a beautiful, quality bound book with most known works of Jules Verne. It's not a book you will want to carry around though: it's heavy, the print is small, pages are reasonibly thin. Children may better enjoy single novel books from Jules Verne.
