This is how the Lightning Collection should have been released: as a full team. The Alien Rangers of Aquitar serve as that obscure bridge between MMPR and Zeo, and it's a very nice set (especially if you have the Ninjazords and Shogunzords on display behind them). Too bad there won't be more from this collection, but for what they did release, this set is a winner. Don't miss out just because it's not technically MMPR.

This set is fantastic! You get all five Alien/Aquitar Rangers in one go. This was probably the only way to get this team and I'm glad they did. I would be 100% for Hasbro do this for more teams.The male figure are using the older body with pin joints and no drop down hips. Which honestly was a good call. The newer drop down hips have been all over the place with tolerance issues.The set includes:Five rangers (1 female/4 male) each with a a spare set of hands.Five Swords each with a unique painted emblem that matches the rangers belt buckle.Five scabbards for the swords.Five daggers which are impressively painted for the size.Five blasters which are also finely detailed.Three energy effects for the blaster. (Colored; Blue, Pink, and Red)Two sword energy effects. (Colored; Red and Green)No unmasked heads are included with the set. Which for me is fine, as including them would have added to the cost of the set and I would have never used them.I cannot endorse this set enough. They are the definitive figures for this team. If you ever wanted these rangers I doubt you would ever have a chance to get them again once these are gone.Pros-Everything!Accessories galore!The swords have unique emblems for each ranger!Cons-No unmasked heads.

Love this set so much! Paint quality is amazing on these, a lot of accessories! Great price for the set( got the discounted price) comes with 5 figures so there is a lot of playability! Easy to assemble, Fun toys for sure!

It's a pretty nice set to have. I was able to get this for almost half off and it looks quite good with my retro Shogun Megafalconzord and Ninjor. A decent representation whether you wanna display it for Alien Rangers or for me preferably, Ninja Sentai Kakuranger.

These figures were even better than I thought they would be. The male figures are on the 1.0 body molds meaning that the pins are visible and the necks don't have as much range of motion as the 2.0 body molds. They also don't have the drop down hips (which I'm totally fine with as I hate that feature on the new molds). The female figure on the other hand does have the 2.0 female body mold meaning she is pinless, her elbows are double jointed, she has a bicep swivel, her neck has a ball joint at the base of her neck and on top for greater range, and finally she has drop down hips.These figures have no quality control issues (at least my figures don't) and the paint application is incredible. The joints are nice and tight so the figures are able to hold their poses.Overall they are a great addition to my collection and they can fulfill their part as Power Ranger of Aquitar or their Japanese counterparts Kakuranger.

Hasbro did a amazing job with these figures. They are straight out of the series. Minor nick pick is they don't come with civilian heads for the Aquitar rangers. Side note if you are a Ninja Sentai Kakuranger fan these are a perfect substitute for the SH. Figuarts or Shodo super, figures. Overall great 6'' Power rangers

I have wanted this set for a very long time and I managed to purchase it slightly cheaper than it's initial price.some critiques:- some of the figures can be restricted in arm movement (hard to move outward and forward due to lack of clearance in the shoulder socket so this might need some modification)- the hands can be loose on some of the figures- the blue ranger on mine has two of the right elbow, it's not that big of an issue for me to dislike the set but this is a common issue with the line where they don't check their figures before they send them out.- the plastic is shiny on the legs, almost inconsistent with the overall design and can end up feeling cheap- could have been packaged with some other specific accessories (the black ranger could have had open palm hands, the rangers could have had their personalized weapons, and they all could have had their unmasked head sculpts)- pin-less arms and legs would have been nice, the white ranger being the only one with the updated body mold stand out from the other rangers with older body types- some figures have sloppy paint, notably around the boots and gloves- some of the head/helmets sit high on the neck (notably the white ranger and the blue ranger)despite these critiques, my love for this specific team (more specifically, the Japanese Super Sentai counterpart/source material) makes me a little biased towards this box set. Just like the majority of the Lightning Collection line, they have:- a decent amount of articulation, they can be fun to pose around- the sculpt is for the most part, accurate- a fair amount of accessoriesOverall, this box set is just fine. I'm not at all disappointed, I got what I've been wanted since the line began. It's not changing the status quo but the Lightning Collection has been solid from the beginning. It's unlikely that the Lightning Collection team will release these again with upgraded parts or with more accessories since this is a fairly obscure team. If you are a big fan of this team or if you are a completionist of the line, I would recommend checking it out when it's on clearance. If you're wanting something new that will surprise you, this might not be the set you're looking for.
