Q: can this be used for multiple doors

I bought one without Liftmaster logo on it that was advertised to work with many motors and had two problems with it. It was hard to program requiring several steps, the Enter button would not operate the door without entering the code every time. I replaced it with an opener with Liftmaster logo on it that is designed for the specific motor that I have.

Q: Is there a way to close the door by just pushing the enter button without entering the code?

Once you install it you don’t have to enter a code to close it.. you just hit the enter button when it’s open to close. A code is used just to open it.

Q: Will this keypad work for an Overhead Door 2606 as far as remotes are concerned?

I used this with a Genie garage door opener, an d while it's not a cosmetically identical replacement, it works fine. I found the manual for an "Overhead Door Model 2606" online, and it looks as though this console actually is a direct replacement, maybe even the actual part supplied originally. You should be okay with this.
