It works
Brilliant. Bought a different make before this and it was impossible to put together, you don't have to assemble this one, just to put food in and remove snails. We are new tank owners and from the one snail that came with a plant (initially I was protective over this snail-who would have known!) we are now overrun! I also use a wheelie thing you run up the glass and it collects them. Didn't want to use chemicals and I haven't researched that avenue. I put an algae wafer in for the food and works well.

Good idea, but it simply does NOT work
I have had an aquarium for the last 10 year in pretty good shape. In the past couple of months I started getting a lot of trumpet snails, which seem to reproduce faster than rabbits!!! I have tried everything: picking them by hand, putting a bit of lettuce/cucumber in a net, adding fish that would munch on them, etc.I did some searches in Google and came across this product and decided to try it. In summary, I did not find this product useful at all. Yes, it is easy to setup and it seems to be a good idea, however it is not practical as it catches only two or three snails per day, but during that time, they have probably reproduced several times. So it will not really solve the issue.I tried different products and the one I would whole-heartedly recommend is "Dennerle Snailcatcher", also on sale in Amazon. Bottom line, if you want to get rid of snails in your aquarium, DO NOT buy this product and buy the other one I mentioned instead.

Not fit for purpose
Seller's service was great. It is not their fault that tis product is not effective for what I wanted it for.Does a better job of trapping my small fish than the infestation snails! Plus the bait area snapped first time I tried to change the bait.Watching YouTube reviews, I see that homemade versions are just as effective.

Great, does what it says well
Although it may not remove all snails at once with perseverance I believe it will. I use it daily and it works great. I remove dozens each day so it controls an explosion of snails in my tank. If is very easy to use, fits my 37l tank well. Very happy with it.

Works well
Really quite good, has taken out literally hundreds of snails, the only minor issue is that having entered the trap should the snails attempt to get out they will climb up the barrier and block the top thus stopping any more from entering, not a major factor and certainly shouldn't deter buying

Fantastic invention!!!!
I was getting disheartened with my aquarium because I had around 30 fish (mostly fry) but 300 (easily!) snails. All because I was too impatient to wait for my local fish shop to order vallis and ordered online instead... Which obviously came with a free beastie or two. Within 4 weeks, I was overrun. I didn't want to use potions because I was wary of it harming the fry and I couldn't get a clown loach because I had baby plecos so they may have been outrun for food. I googled and saw this idea so I decided this would be my only hope before I went mad. It does say to only use overnight, but I was impatient and wanted to try it out. I put a small amount of algae wafer in the little centre compartment and plopped it in the tank. Within 2 hours, I'd caught a good 30 snails (iirc there were 34 in there) I kindly fed the snails to the garden wildlife (circle of life and all that), refilled the snack pot and put it back in. This time (2 hours) I caught 12 snails, a baby swordtail and 2 baby plecos. I've been afraid to leave it in overnight in case a baby fish gets stuck inside it and starves or something, so I've been doing 2 hour stints, 3 times a day. So far, we're on an even keel because they're laying eggs as fast as I'm trapping, but I didn't expect an overnight miracle, so I'm really pleased with the gadget. I'll be buying another 2 later in the week because they're more than worth their money!!

Only worked for a short while
Found quite hard to pull apart to place food to trap snails. Worked for a short while, tried different food to attract snails but found after a short while the snails avoided it. Moved to different locations in tank but to no avail.

Surprising Result
Gotta say, I was quite sceptical but this really does work! This is just 1 night after being in the tank. I was surprised to see how many snails were trapped inside. Great product, easy to set up.
