However, it doesn't prevent the kid from wiggling out from under the belt... for which there is no alarm.The advantage is that it's easily opened when you know how...I liked it.My kid hated it. So it worked for a bit as a warning.I keep it in the car as a reminder of how far we've come and I've used it to keep a belt that has two clicky things always secure so that it doesn't fly up and accidently hurt someone.

I brought these and they were not very strong or durable like I needed for my little one he has autism and I have to be careful and quick on my feet and this just didn’t help but it might be helpful for babies…

This is a little flimsier than the previous buckle guard I had, but it seems to work well. I like that it comes with extra tools for opening it.

Keeps my son from unbuckling himself. It is a little tricky to get the buckle in at first then you get the hang of it. A regular key will also fit in the slot to unbuckle if you misplace the little red spatula looking tool. This makes me feel safer knowing he is once again secure.

I have a 2023 Toyota Corolla hybrid. I bought this because my dog often steps on the seatbelt button which sets off the alarm and defeats the purpose of her being buckled to begin with. When I tried to install this, I popped it over the seatbelt latch and tried to latch the seatbelt, but it wouldn't latch no matter how hard I pushed. I plan to use a dremel to open up one of the latch gaps so that the buckle will latch. It would have been more helpful if one of the side gaps was a fair bit larger. I don't expect that this will impact the functionality of the guard if I open up one of the slots, but it's important to know that if the top of the buckle needs to press into the latch opening, this guard will prevent you from being able to actually latch the seatbelt.

We had to buy this to keep our 6yr old autistic son from getting unbuckled during car rides. He learned very quickly on how to unlock himself, so keep things out of reach that can fit into the slits. I am glad it came in a pack of 2, we use the second one in the seat belt next to him, because if that one is not locked up, he will use it to unbuckle himself. Also, make sure to tighten the seat belt, otherwise your child can still slip out.

my dogs kept stepping on the buckle, seatbelt and getting free from their harnesses, so this is perfect to disable them from doing it. Wish I had bought some sooner! very inexpensive solution to annoying problem
