Philips myBathroom Dreaminess Round Recessed LED Spotlight (3 x 4.5 W LED Spots, Bathroom Safe) [Energy Class A++]

I bough these for the bathroom after the renovation. They look simply stunning, how does a spotlight look stunning, they are spot lights, well there is a subtlety to the look and the light distribution fills the room nicely. They added a really good finishing touch to the room. Even the installer complemented the lights. I love putting the light on when I go in the bathroom now, makes it so much nicer.

A good set of IP65 warm LED lamps in a non-rust housing that is well suited to a humid bathroom environment. However, BEWARE! These are NOT 3 individual sets of the single lamp, type 915005243201, despite having the same name and description. Very bad form by Philips! Instead, this is a pack of 3 lamps which are wired "in series" to a single 75V driver. So all 3 lamps must be installed and connected. Do not use this if you want to keep one lamp as a spare, in spite of their long life claim.I had planned to use 8 LED spots in an octagonal pattern on my bathroom ceiling, so bought 3 of these sets, expecting to have one bulb and fitting spare. Much cheaper than buying 8 single units. However it is impossible to get 8 spotlights out of the set: all 3 lamps in each set MUST be fitted! So only totals of 3, 6, 9 etc. total spotlights can be fitted, not 8!Also, the product labelling itself is wrong. Each lamp is labelled as 75V 350mA, but the Driver is also marked as 75V, 350mA DC. Since the lamps are wired in series, each lamp will only get 25V and, in fact, under load each gets only 13V, as the driver only delivers 40V under load. God knows what would happen if you wired only one or two lamps to the 75V driver, but it's not something I want to try.Anyway, to get the octagonal spot pattern I wanted I need two of these and two single units - and I bet they don't match colour or brightness off different drivers.Not Amazon's fault, but very poor product description by Philips!

I bought this to work with the "I LumoS Luxury White Glass Panel LED Dimmer Touch Light" from Hartington Heath, who recommended Philips. But I get the dreaded flickering, albeit intermittent. When I change the light level the flickering usually stops. I'm sure Philips will say it's the dimmer unit and Hartington Heath will say it's the bulbs - but at the end of the day they don't work together.(It's not clear from the details Amazon provides but I am assuming this is Philips product 5900811P0. It should be because Philips does link to this very page from their own site.)

Fantastic lights, so bright for 4.5Watts. Just beware they are only suitable for a minimum 9mm ceiling thickness to enable the locking arms to pull the light flush.

Bought six of these lights for our new bathroom - gives plenty of warm light. Good quality build according to our electrician, would definitely recommend!

Wir haben zwei dieser Sets (also 6 Spots) in unserem Bad in der abgehängten Decke montiert.Eigentlich sehr gute Spots - mit einer Einschränkung:Leider hat Philips bei den Verbindungssteckern gespart. Diese sind von der allerbilligsten Sorte. Nach dem ersten Zusammenstecken und Anschließen hat erstmal gar nichts funktioniert. Nach einiger Fehlersuche mit dem Multimeter unter Spannung (am Ausgang des Vorschaltgeräts ca. 50V DC - da die Spots in Reihe geschaltet sind ist einfaches Durchpiepsen nicht einfach möglich) habe ich dann festgestellt, dass die Pins der Verbindungsstecker beim Zusammenstecken gerne mal nach hinten rutschen und keinen Kontakt geben. Eine kurze Nachberbeitung mit einer Spitzzange und zwei Tropfen Heißkleber wirken da wirklich Wunder.Vom Licht her empfinden wir die Spots als sehr angenehm und hell, allerdings geht das Licht etwas ins gelbliche (vll. nicht jedermanns Sache). Auch der Öffnungswinkel der Spots ist recht gut. Dadurch wird das Bad relativ gleichmäßig ausgeleuchtet.Ein weiterer großer Vorteil ist, dass die Spots mit einer relativ niedrig abgehängten Decke auskommen, ca. 5cm sollten es aber schon sein.
