Needed clear sticking gel to adhere sugar candy cane candies to gingerbread men and holly candies to a buche de noel. As long as the surface is relatively flat and even, the gel works great! Takes a minute to dry so you want to hold the item in place for a bit so it will adhere properly. If it is seated and dry, it sticks great and does not bump off easily. Even the ones that had a more uneven surface worked okay - just don't bump them. Pretty much no - or slightly sweet flavor - so no interference with the flavors of what you are sticking items onto. Very satisfied with product - especially once I got the hang of using it properly!

I really like this product and I think it works quite well, its inexpensive and overall gets the job done for the most parts, my only issues, tastes a bit sour and tart also does not work well in humid and hot climates and also you must hold what you are gluing for at least 30 seconds at a time, other than that it works well and I will continue to buy this product.

This was my first time making a fondant bear and using this product. I love Wilton products which is why I purchased this. They did not let me down. This stuff is easy to use and held everything together! My bear held up even on a car ride. Highly recommend.

I made my own multi-layer fondant flowers for my wedding cake, and realized that I was going to need something other than water to bond the petals together. Based on the reviews I had read, this was the stuff for me. I immediately noticed how long it took for the adhesive to set (overnight, which was not as expected). In the morning, I'm not sure what exactly happened, but many of the petal layers had become brittle & cracked. The ones that survived were used on a test cake that had been iced in a crusting buttercream, and again I had trouble getting the flowers to stick in a timely manner without having to constantly hold them in place. I found the buttercream served as a better 'glue'. I opted to set my centerpiece (and largest) flower on top of the cake instead of at an angle on the side as originally intended because I was not confident it would dry & stick in time. 3 star rating is based on me being a very amateur baker, so some of the issues in getting a fondant flower to stick to crusted buttercream may have been technical errors on my part, but in general, I would have expected this to work pretty flawlessly when trying to bond fondant to fondant, which it did not do. This may work better with different materials and flat surface decorating, so I will be trying it out again with future cakes but I won't be relying on it to make any 'masterpieces'.
