My thirty year old, 40 gallon tall aquarium is usable again after using this great 100% silicone caulk. Does everything you need for a good seal in an aquarium but in my opinion there are two places where it outshines any previous aquarium sealer I've used. First, it sets up very quickly. You run your lines of sealant into your seams without stopping. As soon as you finish that you will still have time to smooth and even out the silicone which only takes about a minute or so. Now leave it alone and about 5 minutes or so later it's setting up. A few hours later it will seem like it's all set up but you really need to wait at least 48 hours in order to make sure it's completely cured. And when it does it cures to a tough, flexible seal. But the second place where it absolutely shines is that it has very low odor! I did the sealing outside and then 4 hours later I brought the aquarium inside to finish curing. The reason I could do that is there was barely any of that strong acidic vinegar smell. Anyone who's sealed an aquarium before knows that these sealants can be like ammonia when you're using them. They literally take your breath away if you don't have enough ventilation or you have your face over or near the tank. Not so with this sealant. I had no problem while sealing the tank and after an hour I could barely smell it all. When I brought the tank inside the house there was absolutely no problem with that strong odor. That's such a plus. With this stuff I feel like I would be able seal an aquarium in the colder months right in the house without any problem. Amazing! That alone is such a big plus! Finally, after it's cured this 100% silicone sealant is completely safe for fish and plants. I'm very pleased with the quality, ease of use, fast curing time, and low odor of this sealant and I very highly recommend it.

This stuff is great. Sets fast, permanent seal and was used to re seal a very old concrete bird bath. Worked a treat and now the repurposed bath is being enjoyed by many native wild birds in my garden.

My first time resealing a 75 gallon aquarium. I will do one seam at a time the next time, as the sealant sets up in a short time. I would also use black silicone as it would conceal imperfections of a novice's work. My tank has been up for several months with no leaks.

I bought a new 40G breeder tank to replace the leaking one in my den, but wasn't confident enough to trust the factory seal to hold up. > stripped off all the original silicone, and used this sealant to replace it with thick, heavy beads, and after curing, I tested it for leaks. There were none, and I feel confident this tank will outlast me. The right tool for the job is my motto, and this stuff is the right thing to use if you want a good, long-lasting seal in your tank!!!

Sealing several aquariums. Wasn't able to use all of it. I'm the rest is going to be hard to get out of I don't use it up soon.

It's exactly as described. Well, except for whoever decided to describe it as "clear." I don't blame the seller for that. It's clearer than just black or white silicone but it certainly isn't what I would describe it as.

Was great.. my son was able to assemble his enclosure to his liking.
