High quality ! Well made boat. The first unfold was tricky but now it’s literally 30 seconds and you’re on the water. Light weight but sturdy.

I'm getting old, don't have much strength but still love to do things on my own. This kayak, which I call my Kayoo, if perfect for me. I can do everything myself. It's not heavy and I like that it has room inside to put my gear, instead of trying to secure it on top. I still have trouble getting the stern all the way closed, but I only go on flat water and it's no problem. Usually someone walking by will stop, being curious as to what "that thing is" and help me secure it. The only thing I don't like is the thin seat that comes with it. Old, boney butts need more padding lol! I got another cushion and all is well.

We are newbies at kayaking and decided to give the Oru Lake a try and absolutely love the design of this kayak. Super easy to put together and fold, fit in a small SUV with room to spare. Recently took them on our vacation and fit 4 Lake kayaks, paddles, life jackets, a refrigerator, battery for the fridge, luggage, a Nutribullet and more. These are great for still water, we will def be adding the Bay to our collection for longer distances and choppier water. Great way to get out on the water and spend some quality family time. Highly recommend the SKEG to help with tracking, the gel seat is also super comfy, and the build quality is great. Great product for frequent use and space saving for kayaking adventures. P.S. I am 5’3” and can cross my legs while sitting down.

It was indeed easy to put together. It handled well in the water. Good turning, floating and straight out paddling. I really like the paddle - easy to assemble. What I didn't like: the seat. There was no way I could get the back of the seat to stay up. I am strong enough to sit-up with out leaning on the seat. But, let's face it, sometimes you just want to lean back and float. - not possible.

Nachdem man herausbekommen hat, welche Knicke man in welcher Reihenfolge drücken muss, lässt sich das Boot schnell auf- und abbauen. Es macht Spass damit zu rudern und passt wunderbar in einen Fiat 500. Beum Erzeuger direkt kostet das Boot allerdings 200€ weniger

The boat has been tested and passed with flying colours . We portaged to a lake traversed its length , jumped out for a portage thru a forested area to another lake . My foldable out performed the 2 inflatable kayaks that were along for this trip . Easy assembly and light weight were main qualities I appreciated . I also had to take on some extra cargo because the inflatables lacked capacity . They had a 210 lb limit to my 250lb.

Want to rate this kayak a 5, but can’t. See Cons and warning re: return fees below. Pros: It definitely delivers on lightweight portability and easy set-up, and the materials will be able to withstand many bumps and drags across river bedrock. Cons: Due to irregular shape when folded, does not fit easily into smaller sedan or hatchback trunks. You may have to give up your backseat to transport it. This was not an option for me on recent trip with 2 others, and I had to leave kayak behind. In terms of performance in the water, I found it comparable to other lower priced inflatable kayaks - the kayak zigzags from side to side, and additional manual effort is required to keep it pointing straight. Amazon buyer beware! I bought the Oru Kayak on Amazon (Prime), thinking this would be a no-hassle return way to try out the kayak. Due to tracking and transport cons described above, i returned the kayak, and will be sticking with my inflatable SUP. Major disappointment that I am fully responsible for the return fees (I did not see this posted on the listing) Return ended up costing me $100 with Canada Post - incl. shipping rate, plus oversized item charge, plus insurance to cover kayak cost.
