Very large, semi-transparent mat; you very much an see the desk underneath it (or whatever you put there); a little blue-tinted. Bendy, not rigid, but strong enough that there's no give when you're writing on it even through a single sheet of paper. It does slide around a bit if pushed with sufficient force (for example, my keyboard's feet are grippier than it is, so if I try to suddenly reposition my keyboard by pushing or pulling, it's the mat that will move). Flat enough that I can put a mousepad half on, half off, and while there's a noticeable bump, it's not so huge that it makes the mouse slip. Came in a large flat box, so no creases.

The mat allows your nice desktop to show through and does not suffer too much from "edge curl". It's just OK for a mouse, but does not replace a proper mouse mat. What it does not do is stay in place!On a smooth, wooden desktop, it will "wander" quite quickly, as you do normal things like move your keyboard. This is not surprising, as most mats move around. The solution, which I have used on previous, non opaque, mats is a little bit of double sided carpet tape at each back corner. This works fine, but now I have two smallish green squares showing through my nice opaque mat - such is life.

My previous desk had been scratched badly by PCs and other items and I wanted to prevent this happening to my new one. I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered the mat but thought I'd give it a try. It arrived quickly and, although the packaging was excessive, I am happy with the product. The desk is protected and as the mat is semi-transparent, you can still see the oak wood. It also acts as a mouse mat. I liked the mat so much that I bought two smaller versions. My printer sits on one of them and my phone and router on the other. Sorted.

Needed this desk mat to protect a white gloss desk top and it does the job well. It is pretty substantial. The downside is it has a slight tinge of purple, which is quite noticeable on a white desk. It came rolled up and creased but I laid it out on a gently heated pad and it recovered it's shape quickly. I thought it disappointing for the price but kept it because it did the job.

This is a great product for the price. Contrary to some of the negative comments in the one and two star reviews:1. It arrived packed flat and neither creased nor folded, well packed in a large box.2. It lies perfectly flat on my desk and provides excellent protection for the surface.3. It can not in any way be described as yellow!!4. My laser mouse works perfectly well on it.5. It is not opaque but sufficiently transparent to read a document placed underneath it.6. Whilst "non-slip" is perhaps a little optimistic it does not slide around on the desktop in any way that could be described as problematic.

Excellent product. Cheap and does the job. Not totally transparent and it has a blue-ish shade, so really stands out on my white table. Can't complain though, it protects my lovely white table and is big enough as well

I put this mat under laptop on my pc table,looks realy nice,simple to maintain it,,

I needed a new desk mat after my old desk mat became worn out after many years of solid use.I wanted a transparent desk mat that would allow me to store various documents underneath but this was totally useless.This is not transparent, so you are unable to see any documents you store underneath (its more like looking through a frosted window).There is no grip to stop the mat from moving around the desk.Durable need to stop selling this as transparent as its dishonest and mine was repacked within 2 minutes of opening the box and stickers printed off to return to amazon.I instead ordered another durable desk mat which is 100% transparent and has a foam backing to ensure it doesn't slipIf you're looking for a truly transparent desk mat search for "Durable Desk Mat Large with Annual Calendar and Anti-plare Overlay W650xD520mm Black Ref 7204/01".
