Accurate, discreet, and so convenient I now own four
I’ve put these D’Addario NS Micro Soundhole Tuners on four of my acoustics because they’re that good. They’re tiny, stay hidden inside the soundhole, and don’t mark the guitar. Most importantly, they’re accurate — I compared them to my Peterson strobe and the results were impressively close. They’re always ready when I pick up a guitar, easy to read, easy to use, and switching them on and off is effortless. I check tuning every time I play, and these make it instant. Battery life seems solid so far. A brilliant little tuner that just works.

My Favourite Tuner
I purchased this item with my own money and have not been provided with any incentives to provide this review. This is my favourite tuner, its sleek, accurate and easy to use. Hardest part is placing it inside the sound hole of the guitar. Good value for money, battery lasts well, is easy to see and use and allows you to look at the specific string and see where adjustments are required unlinke many other tuners that are either clipped onto headstocks or connected via amps etc. Makes a great gift for any acoustic guitar player or a great addition to your kit to replace an old tuner.

Hidden and convenient
Nice and compact and hidden, all qualities I like. Not too strong hold so if not placed against something might fall inside when the start button is pressed. I place it against one of the bars inside the guitar and it doesn’t move or falls in. Apart from that, seems a good buy for someone who wants it hidden and not too obvious and also always there. Tuning seems accurate and on point. I like that it is easy to read and the display is bright enough to be seen even on daylight. So far pleased with it.

Great little gadget, works a treat and means you don't have a stupid tuner poking out the top of the guitar head.

Works for standard & open tuning and 12 string guitar
This is an astonishing, simple and discreet bit of kit. It works on all the strings of a 12 string guitar which are known for being difficult to tune. You can also use it for open tuning. For the price you cannot go wrong. There is a warning on the box that the clip that holds the tuner in place can react and leave a mark on certain finishes. I've got it fitted on my 12 string guitar tuned down a semi tone. It's very accurate to my ear. I can't comment battery life as I have only just recently fitted it. In general most reviews are very positive about this tuner and I think it's worth the money.

Worked as advertised
A neat little tuner that clips on OK (Guild D-50). It has survived it's first pub gig and worked as advertised - easy to see the display in low light too. I think the key to this device is to fit it where there is a single thickness of wood. On my guitar there was only one point where there wasn't soundhole reinforcement strips underneath and the pickguard was not too close to the soundhole - you need at least 7.5mm from the edge of the soundhole to the pickguard (if fitted) to fit this - I hope this helps. Update: Still working fine 11 months and 70 gigs later and on original battery. Has only once fallen off and ended up rattling around inside the guitar like a 2 ton plectrum. It's fitted to a sound board that is 3mm thick - any thicker I think puts too much strain on the clip which is probably why some people have had them break (minimal instructions with product don't give any guidance on this, though I note that their website now says 3.81mm thickness) Update 2: Three years of use and still going strong and battery life is good - the only other issue I have found is if you are playing outside on a sunny day as during Covid, the display is very difficult to see. Hope this helps.

I've had to clip it on beneath the strings, almost out of reach
I bought this to replace an old tuner Intelli tuner which, to my mind, nobody has beaten yet for ease of use and accuracy. Now, this micro sound hole tuner works well enough as an "approximate" tuning device but it has one major drawback which is not made plain in the description: it will not clip to a sound hole with a scratch plate. Seriously, this is a major and dismal oversight. Most modern acoustic guitars have a scratch plate and those scratch plates double the thickness of the breast at the sound hole. Not only that but the scratch plate does not, in most cases, come up to the edge of the sound hole. The upshot of this is that you can't clip this thing where it's meant to go: directly beneath your line of sight as you look down at the strings. So, I've had to clip it beneath the strings where it can’t easily be reached to turn it on by groping a finger under the strings - not exactly a graceful move when you're trying to look cool in front of an audience. Simply put, it works, but it's of little use - and it's expensive. Update:- And its grip on the guitar is not strong so eventually, it'll eventually fall off and you'll lose it - which is what has happened to mine

Handy little tuner for acoustic guitar.
Nice and unobtrusive soundhole tuner. Nicely thought out design. Works well and reasonable price. Display easy to see. Second one I've bought. Not sure how long the battery would last but easy enough to replace.

ギターのホール部分にセットしてチューニングしますが、画面の液晶の文字が逆さまに見えて使いずらい。説明書も無いので調整できない。でも、正確にチューニングできる。見た目もカッコイイので2つ目です。

It works great, feels like it was factory installed and is all but invisible. SO much better than having a bulky clip on tuner on the headstock, falling off, getting lost, left at home when you need it at a gig. This thing is great. If there was an improvement I would suggest that the screen be a bit bigger and a bit brighter. You have to get the viewing angle just right to see what you are doing. But I would recommend this product for sure.

The D'Addario PW-CT-15 tuner is barely noticeable on my guitar, so I leave it installed for immediate use any time. It works great, because it's easy to read from the player's position and is more accurate than a headstock tuner. My guitar sounds better than ever when I use this tuner. I'm glad I wasn't scared away by the negative reviews posted by some users. Here is my take on the issues they raised: (1) Guitars come in all shapes and sizes. This will fit most, but not all. Before buying the tuner, make sure that the clip will fit on the wood around your sound hole. For example, it might be too snug if you have an extra layer of reinforcing wood around the underside of your sound hole or a thick pick guard very close to the hole. A flat area up to 6/16" from the edge of the hole and up to 2/16" thick should be fine. Some reviewers reported that the clip was too loose for them, but the current model has a metal spring that should hold the tuner in place on thinner tops. (2) Guitars also have different bracing patterns. Make sure yours has room for the tuner between the hole and the bracing. You need space for the shape of a triangle with the corners cut off about 1-3/8" wide (accross the hole) and about 3/4" deep. For example, in the Taylor line, it fits my Grand Auditorium guitar with X bracing, but it might not fit in a GS Mini or anything with V-Class bracing. [UPDATE: I got a new guitar and can confirm that it works fine on a Taylor GA with V-Class bracing if you put it in the 7:00 position instead of 6:00. You can still reach the power button and see it fine.] (3) Press the metal release tab to take the battery out without breaking the plastic tabs that also hold it in place. The manufacturer's video shows this clearly. (4) Install and remove the tuner carefully to avoid breaking the clip. This is easy to do, as shown in the manufacturer's video. For me, this is a fabulous upgrade at a very reasonable price.
