I almost returned this -- glad I didn't!
I really thought this wasn't going to work in the tight situation I'd prosed to use it. But at the last minute I gave it a go, drilling a hole to plant a new hornbeam whip in a 20 year old hedge. It worked like a dream, and the plant is growing well, while the hedge has had minimal disturbance. Then I used it to start off a hole for a new rose in an already crowded border, and it really helped to keep the size of the planting hole manageable. Glad I changed my mind!

Just what I needed
OMG. I wanted something that would make bulb planting easier in my hard, tree root filled soil. If I don't plant bulbs deep enough the squirrels dig them up. I pondered long and hard over which auger to buy but was still shocked when I saw how large, sturdy and heavy this one is. However, I gave it a go and it is perfect. Easy to use and so quick to dig the sort of holes I need. Not sure about fence post holes, but that is only because I am a 75 year old great grandmother, the tool would be well up to the job I am sure.

Does what it’s supposed to do, (budget tool), it’s ideal for the DIYer, depending on your type of soil, i.e: stones, clay, dry soil, wet soil, etc, you’re going to need some strength & muscles

Properly sturdy bit of kit
Smashed out getting a load of fence posts installed using this! Also came in handy for planting a load of cherry laurel hedging! Solid, decent construction, massive time saver.

Quite dear, kept wobbling when in use.
Dear for what it is, kept wobbling when i was trying to dig the holes, was eay to use.

Sturdy tool
Excellent manual post Auger. I like the fact It is one piece as I have used augers in the past that have a separately fitted handed with a wing nut and they always come loose. This tool is solid and makes ‘light’ work of boring through topsoil, earth and clay. Good value too.

Great
Better and neater hole compared to using a spade for concreting in posts. Requires some effort but only to be expected when boring holes.

Great value for money
Great product for the money. Was the cheapest largest diameter fence post digger on amazon. Product was wrapped thoroughly, in fact it took me ages to unwrap 😂. Was delivered fast aswell. Thanks again

Tut was es soll, nämlich gute Löcher bohren für einen fairen Preis. Ich für mein teil bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Bohrer.

Très bien dans une terre grasse Un peu plus compliqué dans il y a beaucoup de pierres ... Mais reste très efficace

Erdbohrer ist praktisch, für schwere Boden soll 2 Männer arbeiten. Für Kleingarten ist aber Erdbohrer ganz gut. Ich empfehle ihn , wenn das Boden nicht hart ist
