Is this product UL approved?

I just examined the box my unit came in and is made in China and there is no UL emblem on the box and there is no UL in the literature, so I seriously doubt if the unit is UL approved. I can't say for certain that the unit does not have UL approval but the packaging does not display it l Hope this answers your question.

Does this work for drugstore beetles?

Though I don’t know what a “drugstore beetle” is, I’ll say that it would likely attract most small flying insects that could be attracted to the light. I’ve seen mosquitoes, fruit flies and small moths on mine. I would imagine it would also attract regular flies. Not sure about beetles. I just put a new sticky card in it, and within 2-3 days, it already has about 20 small flying bugs stuck to it. So I know it works. Thanks to our pet bird, her bird seed came with thousands of moth eggs already in it, so we have been fighting quite a battle with the resulting hatching moths that never seem to end. These little unobtrusive traps are pretty effective, though.
