The black frame ones I have have dark lens. Not too dark when in use in indoor pool and comfortable.

These are unisex however there is a model designed to fit the female face a little better - it is called Speedo Futura Biofuse Flexiseal Female. A Biofuse 2.0 Female goggle is going to be made eventually but not in the immediate future.
