Good book to take on dive boat.Bit clumsy to identify fish from lists and pics - there must be a better way than looking at every picture?

Just returned from this area and this book helped identify the fish that I had photographed. Clear photographs and interesting text. Lovely production make this a joy to use.

This is the bible for a fish biologist working in the Pacific (of which I am). Absolutely the best current guide available for use in the field

Beware! I bought this in a hurry before a trip to Costa Rica and didn't check it out thoroughly enough. It does not cover the eastern Pacific (i.e. the Americas) so I wasted my money. It looks like a good book if you are actually travelling to the area it covers.
