SpanxWomen's Higher Power Short, 50 den

I am very pleased with this product, i am a size 18-20 and i purchased a size E, they fit perfectly, they are an effort to get on i agree but they are truly worth the struggle! Smooths out all the unsightly lumps and bumps and makes my dresses look better by pulling everything in! They are seam free and have a two layered split cotton gusset, allowing you to pee through without fighting in a cramped cubicle to get them up and down every time nature calls! After trying them on the first time i too (as some other reviews have stated) thought i had laddered them in a few places, however on closer inspection i realised it is not ladders, the spanx are supposed to be like that, to make them give,i guess thats how they work!! Overall 10 out of 10.

This are great as underwear, they give support in all the right places and are simply undetectable.I have a big post baby tum and they actually did hold everything in quite well - felt really great in them.Will certainly recommend to others to buy as they are worth every penny, they are!Update 13/07/13Above review was after excitedly trying them on for the first time, to see if the size was OK.However, next time i wore them, it was for 7 hrs straight.On taking them off, was mortified to discover a large ladder running from the back end of gusset all the way up the back of these!It is needless to say, that i was utterly and thoroughly gutted!I mean, i only got to wear them properly just the one time!Well i would therefore have to retract my sentiment about them being well worth every penny. Nah nah quite the opposite actually.In present day economic scenario where one watches every hard earned penny spent, a girl certainly wants to purchase products that "Do what it says they do on the box" plus are durable and a class act as well.

I sent the larger size back as I thought a smaller one would do the trick better. I suppose the flesh has to go somewhere as it didn't make too much difference really, only harder to get on. Keeps the stomach down a bit I suppose and the unslightly under arm rool of fat wasn't so pronounced. A slimmer lady would benefit more but then why would they need one anyway?

I've worn lots of shapewear, some uncomfortable, some easy to get on, some impossible to breath in but I've never brought Spanx purely because of the price and now I'm kicking myself for all the money wasted. These are amazing. I brought them to wear under my wedding dress as I have a considerable mum-tum and also wanted to avoid any chub rub (it's fun being me) so I've been looking for a high waisted sort. I hesitated buying these because of the price and the fact that I worried the top would roll down.I tried them on, easy to get on, very soft and comfortable, theres a grip strip at the top but at the back not the front which I found odd at first. They held me in just the right amount, like a big hug. I could, after a few pounds of weight loss, move down a size but for now the XL based on my weight is just right. I didn't take them off after trying them on and wore them for the whole day and loved it. They didn't roll down once, they did get a little uneven at the top but nothing uncomfortable. I felt fantastic in them. I wore them under leggings and a top and although I did breathe out when I took them off I would certainly wear them again for everyday wear. Buying a pair for my mom too.I would have given them 5 stars as I think they should be more affordable.

I bought this item with the expectation that a well-known brand would produce a garment that would indeed perform the task that it was allegedly designed and manufactured for. I tried this on at home and it was a bit tight but I would expect it to be tight. It was purchased according to the measurements then packed it into my suitcase. First formal outing and my fingers went straight through them laddered and ruined them. I do not drink alcohol and I do not have long nails! what a disappointment when I get back it will be Marks & Spencer‘s or Matalan for me!

Very comfortable,easy to put on. Smooth rather than slim thighs and tummy. I wore them all day and they were lovely. The top has a bit of a tendency to roll down,which was a little annoying but I love my Spanx and would reccomend them.

I needed this as my dress showed too many lumps and bumps. The spanx smoothed me out. People even commented on my lovely shape (if only they knew!!) & I was comfortable wearing this item for 13 hours! Going to the loo was tricky. I didn't feel confident about using the opening successfully (perhaps I should have practised!) so I had to pull the spanx down. It was a mission to get it all back in place inside a tiny toilet cubicle! For this reason I will just keep spanx for special occasions.

If i could go back and unbuy this i would. Keeps rolling down. Holds the tummy area in very well but is very annoying because it just does not stay up. So i ended up spending even more and buying one with straps which works wonders.
