AUREON USB 7.1 PC Sound Card External 8-Channel USB Soundbox - Optical Input Output for AC3 and DTS - for up to 8 Speakers - Analogue and Digital Audio Devices

Not much to say, does what it says on the tin. Doesn't come with a driver installation CD any more so had to download it from their website, but once the driver was installed and I had restarted my PC (don't forget to do that!), it worked like a beauty. All of my media programs recognise it with no problem (I mainly use VLC), and I've been enjoying the wonders of 5.1 surround sound (there aren't many movies out there which have been mixed in 7.1). Does the same job as more expensive USB soundcards for about half the price. Wish I had got it sooner!

The operating instructions could be a little clearer but the card seems to work well - we use it for recording onto Adobe Audition from digital and analog sources

Compact, well constructed external stereo sound card. Fits under my monitor stand easily. Would recommend this to anyone looking to connect a microphone and headphones to a PC. The improvement in sound and recording quality compared to motherboard audio is significant. The packaging of the product was exemplary.

I can't rate it as I cannot find a way of downloading the programme that enables me to use it. There was no disk supplied with the item and it states on Windows 8 it will automatically load via the net. So I am sitting here with a piece of techno that I cannot use to do that which I purchased it for. The progamme that enables me to change settings via my screen is not available to me and no matter where I look on the web I haven't found a way of downloading it.

Works great, whether you need surround or multiple outputs for routing to a mixer for editing software such as audition.

Brilliant piece of kit with great sound quality. very pleased, worth every penny. It has rubber feet to stop it sliding and is very well built.

Works as expected. Sound quality is good. Fine on both Linux and Windows.

Acheté hier reçu ce matin avec le service premium, parfait de tout point de vue. Enfin pour celles et ceux qui sont sous OS libre, cela fonctionne à merveille. Parfaitement reconnu sous Linux Mint 17.2 Rafaela pour information. Je suis en 5.1 et les sorties audio sont qualitativement excellentes. Un très bon choix car je ne pouvais as utilisé le son de ma carte mère une MSI Z 170 M Mortar (non reconnu)

Compré esta tarjeta para hacer la siguiente configuración: - PC a TV por HDMI - XBOX a TV por HDMI - TV a tarjeta de sonido por TOSLINK - Tarjeta de sonido a altavoces 5.1 por 6CH - Tarjeta de sonido a cascos Turtle Beach por TOSLINK La configuración funciona perfectamente y la calidad de sonido es buena. La única pega es que, al ser una tarjeta de sonido, depende totalmente del PC. Si quieres escuchar la TV, tienes que tener el PC encendido, si quieres escuchar el juego de la XBOX, tienes que tener el PC encendido... si quieres oír cualquier cosa... tienes que tener el PC encendido. En esta parte se lo podrían haber trabajado mejor haciendo un bypass, haciendo que las entradas digitales (por ejemplo) no dependiesen del PC, de esa forma la TV iría directamente a los altavoces sin tener que pasar por el PC, pero bueno, es lo que hay, no es un gran problema; Otra cosa a tener en cuenta es que, volviendo a ser culpa de que depende totalmente del PC, si escuchas la TV y tu PC hace algún sonido (actualización, aviso o lo que sea) se oye sobrepuesto sobre el sonido de la TV, esto se debe a que todo el sonido tiene que pasar por el PC (efecto mezclador). A parte de esas dos pegas, está bastante bien, te permite usar altavoces stereo, 5.1 y 7.1 con una fuente de audio digital, y tiene una salida de audio digital para poder conectar algún otro aparato (en mi caso los auriculares para cuando no quiera usar altavoces).

Die Soundkarte entspricht genau meinen Vorstellungen, der Versand verlief reibungslos und die Soundkarte war bei Standardversand innerhalb von 3 tagen bei mir Zuhause. Im Lieferumfang befindet sich die Soundkarte, 1x USB Kabel , 1x Toslink Kabel(optisch), und eine CD-Rom mit entsprechendem Programm für Soundeinstellungen und den Treibern. Die Installation war Kinderleicht. Soundkarte mit Computer über das mitgelieferte USB Kabel verbinden, wenn die Soundkarte erkannt wird leuchtet die gelbe Power-LED an der Soundkarte, nun die CD-Rom einlegen und Treiber istallieren, nun Coputer nochmal neu starten , fertig!! falls ihr anfangs kein ton haben solltet, schaut unter systemsteuerung-> hardware & sound -> sound-> wiedergabe . da muss entweder der Lautsprecher oder der digitale Ausgang von Terratec als standardgerät aktiviert sein. meinerseits ein echt klasse gerät , habe den sound per 5.1 kopfhörer (tritton ax pro) mit einer blu ray von dark knight an meinen computer getestet, der sound ist gewaltig, einfach klasse top 5* !! :)

Scheda incredibilmente versatile e davvero ottima per migliorare l'audio del vostro laptop. Utilizzata per la dimostrazione di una tesi di laurea che sfrutta un 7.1 da 10 auricolari passivi: affidabile, di facile installazione e permette di leggere qualsiasi formato audio. Le dimensioni sono veramente ridotte ed il prezzo vale sicuramente questo prodotto. Consegna nei tempi previsti e senza problemi.

Ma carte son ne fonctionnait plus après passage à W8.1, j'en ai profité pour acheter ce produit afin d'offrir une sortie optique à mon portable. Evidemment, connecté en numérique à mon ampli, le résultat est excellent, mais la sortie analogique n'est pas en reste: le gain en qualité est significatif par rapport à la carte Conexant d'origine, lorsque le volume est à fond il n'y a aucun souffle et aucun bruit parasite provenant du fonctionnement du PC... J'ai même fait le test de poser dessus mon téléphone portable: aucun parasite !!! Le blindage doit être très bon... Le boitier est équipé de bouton on/off et de volume (qui commande directement Windows, il ne s'agit pas d'un ampli). Le driver propose des modes d'écoute améliorés: virtualisation 7.1 et equaliseur à 10 segments (de 30 à 16k) sont les plus intéressants. Par contre le boitier est encombrant (12cmx6x2!), soit la même taille que mon chargeur de portable... A noter que j'ai eu des problèmes sous Windows 8, à présent résolus sous W8.1 : je n'avais pas de son sur la VOD. J'ai fait appel au support, qui a été réactif mais a rejeté le problème sur Microsoft: ça m'a énervé, mais après la maj en 8.1 j'ai pu constater qu'ils avaient raison...
