I absolutely love this Echo Dot Kids edition. I bought it for my seven year old and cannot say enough good things about it. The setup process was simple and quick, and it was ready to use within minutes. The sound quality is great for its size, and the dragon design is vibrant and well made. The image has not rubbed off at all and still looks brand new. The size is perfect for kids and fits easily in my child’s hands. The overall design is sleek and sturdy, and it has held up very well over time. We are now going into 2026 and this Echo Dot still works like it did when it first came out of the box. One of my favorite features is the kid friendly content. The daily kids news, fun facts, and upbeat morning music help start the day on a positive note. I also really appreciate the included books. My kids listen to them every night as they fall asleep, which has become part of our bedtime routine. The parental controls are easy to manage and give me peace of mind. Because we had such a great experience, I recently purchased another one for my other child. This is a well made, engaging, and durable device. It is absolutely worth the purchase and makes a great gift for kids.

I love this little thing. We realized my son was starting to get nightmares from the news flashing on his Alexa screen. We had all the fancy parental controls set up, but somehow didn’t think about the news feed itself—and it slowly became a problem. We put this in his bedroom and it solved everything. No news, parental controls locked in, and now he uses Alexa the way a kid should. He asks for the weather almost every morning, listens to music, and even makes announcements to the rest of the house like he’s running mission control. It’s also the perfect size—cute, compact, and doesn’t take up much space. And for durability: it’s been knocked off the dresser more than once by a rogue basketball that missed the mini hoop on the back of his door… and it’s still going strong. Small, sturdy, kid-friendly, and sanity-saving for parents. Win all around.

This little owl is very durable and works very well. Not only is it entertaining but a helpful tool for helping my autistic granddaughter with her speech and learning new words. It easily recognizes her speech patterns and responds when she speaks to it. She especially likes the story feature. It filters out music with explicit lyrics, and will tell her if something isn't nice to say and give her options of things to say instead. It's compact size fits well on a shelf and the design is very cute. It will tell your child the weather if asked, as well as saying good morning and good night. Setup was easy as well.

The Amazon Echo Dot Kids (newest model) has been a big hit in our household! It’s super easy for kids to interact with, and the kid-friendly design makes it feel truly made for them. Had to get this when I saw this on discount during the holiday season. This is an impressive product in terms of looks. Easy setup, works great and with AI feature in Alexa+ this has been a great product for my kid to have conversation in a very kid way. Parental control through app is a nice plus point about these. Paired with the dragon egg stand and together this is a very appealing product. Only reason to take away one star is the subscription feeds associated with the Kids+ app after included 1 year free access.

As a kids Echo 5 star. However - Contrary to many reviews the kids version is not a fully functional Adult version. There are no software settings. Any commerce related functions are not allowed. And you can’t change that. I don't shop from an Alexa -however the adding things to a shopping list from the kitchen is a feature we use all the time. Sent it back. Later they made a purple Echo Dot Max - very happy with that.
