Great trashcan and holds up well! I haven't had any issues with the lid coming off like I did with other trashcans. I also like the little bag holder things on the inside to prevent the bag from sliding down.

Itis a big bang for my buck

I bought this GLAD 13-gallon garbage can with the assumption that GLAD would design their garbage cans to fit their own 13-gallon garbage bags. We've been getting these bags on subscribe & save for years and have never had an issue with them fitting our current garbage can which is starting to break.I immediately noticed how much larger this can is than our current GLAD garbage can. I checked the box and confirmed that GLAD claims this is a 13 gallon bin.I placed the bag in the bin and wrapped the edge around the two handle things. First, when I push the bag-rings back down, with the bag over them, the outside edge of the bag pulls in under the rings because the rings are too wide. So you have a lip of garbage bag inside the rings, making the opening smaller.Aside from that, which I could live with, the bag doesn't come close to reaching the bottom of the bin. There is about a 3" gap between the bottom of the bag and the bottom of the bin. GLAD garbage bags are nice and all, but if I try to push garbage into them they will not stretch to meet the bottom, they will just rip.I tried any way imagineable to place the bag inside the can but nothing would get it to fit around the rings and come anywhere close to toughing the bottom of the can.I'm sure you can get 20-gallon bags and they would fit well, but why push this as a 13-gallon bin? It is even so large it is impractical to put it where we have the old bin as it would block a small entryway into our kitchen.I will be returning this garbage can and looking for one that actually fits the bags it says it will.

A little flimsy as far as opening and closing. I might put a brick or large heavy rock in bottom so it will be more steady when using the foot lever to open.

Looks fine and generally pleased but with one big exception. The step feature works when basket is empty but slowly gets more difficult and less useful as the barrel fills. I see no pressure on the mechanism so I'm at a loss for why this occurs.

I bought it to keep the dog out of the trash and it has worked like a charm

Flimsy. Very flimsy and the opening mechanism breaks easily.
