Q: What is the maximum thickness of chipboard/greyboard that this is able to cut through please ? Will it cut through 2mm chipboard/greyboard ?

Fiskars website says the maximum cutting depth is 3mm so you should be ok. I haven't cut anything that thick as I don't want to risk damaging it as it's not cheap to replace. Be advised that if you are wanting to cut 6 inch wide pieces the 6 inch mark falls directly on the fold in the platform so you can't guarantee accuracy

Q: Does this have a slide button that holds the paper still as i am disabled and can't hold the paper still and cut

Hello, no, but I make sure to butt the paper or card to the top or bottom of the trimmer and I have had no problems. I bought the trimmer because I have arthritis and found other cutting tools difficult to use (I have tried many ! ) I love this trimmer I do hope it works for you. Hope this was useful. June Matson

Yes it will cut 12 x 12 papers it also cuts the heavy chipboard I use for book covers. A really great cutter and self sharpening too.

Q: does this have measurements from 0 to 1 inch near the blade

A bit hard to describe. the numbers are near the cutting blade, if you can zoom in on a photo of the cutter you will notice there is a metal strip then the blade. The numbers butt up to this. So if a piece of card had to be 4 inch lining up to the 4 inch would cut perfectly the size you need. Sorry I can't be more helpful, than that. However I have found it does cut the accurate size needed.
