It’s modern, simplistic, cozy & fluent
Absolutely the best tv i ever brought. This is a modern & simplistic TvIt’s fast, has various very nice, cozy, animated & moving wallpapers that are free to install. The layout of the apps is perfect & simple.Hovering over an app, for example Netflix, if you press the little Star icon on the remote, as it shows top right of the tv, you can move the app to a different part of the app section.

I was pleasantly surprised very happy with Roku
The media could not be loaded. Great little 24inch Roku tv easy to use the set up was even easier great substitute for a Fire stick or a fire tv minlistic interface great for older people and children or anyone who just wants something that looks good without being bombard with ads like the amazon fire tvs and their fire sticks do I have both so I just wanted something different... The picture quality is great and the sound is crisp clear and the tv weight is very light easily to move from room to room with breaking your back and it can do anything a fire tv can within reason so if your looking for a good substitute from amazon fire tv or a fire stick I would definitely recommend getting a Roku TV

Model RK40FQ1 40” - no WiFi
Everything seemed great and @£169 good value for a 40” TV, fantastic port selection (main reason to get this one) until I tried using it and discovered the WiFi hardware failed, after many attempts to self remedy had to result to manufacture help desk.I can’t say I was impressed contacted 27th dec, and accepted I’d likely not get anywhere until the new year, with an auto response saying only working days, apparently they get Christmas through to the new year and beyond, finally got a response and while it was polite and informative, it turns out you get 1 email a day only!I’m patient and basically wanted the TV so preserved but made a mental note if the couldn’t resolve and couldn’t facilitate a replacement (bought it nov for Xmas present so outside the 30 days) I was eligible for a refund up to 31st Jan, that I’d go the refund route by the 10th, by the 6th we reached the point of agreeing the hardware was kaput, so I then asked about them replacing hoping to avoid a refund and then also paying more for the same TV (bought during sale event) no emails for 3 days so I had no choice but to return, went to curry’s and got the JVC version (same TV but less inputs) for the money, disappointed I’ve had to compromise and lose out but at least my son finally has his main Xmas present by 10th Jan.I have my suspicions this was a cycled TV ie they keep selling faulty WiFi models until someone takes it and doesn’t know because they don’t use the feature, as after buying and coming up with the WiFi MAC address reporting 00:00:00:00:00:00 my first hint of strangeness, plugging in a network cable it came to life and promptly after a software update declared the WiFi hardware was now missing, a search on the Internet on the subject returns a great number of users with similar issues and not limited to first time use, apparently it can just die, seems a very weak part of their design, anyhow I almost went for a Samsung but availability wasn’t there so have stuck with the same Roku operating system and hoping that JVC are less prone to the same issue, certainly the replacement was a doddle to setup and get working, appears in almost all regards as identical, it’s a very light weight unit, lift 1 handed, feet are a bit cheap and all plastic, wall mounting is the route I’d suggest, it doesn’t feel it would take a knock and survive, picture quality for the size and money is ok, plugged in the Wii using an HDMI converter (never used before so possibly it’s the issue) but the image didn’t fit the screen and the settings had to be set at 75-80% to get brightness, contrast and sharpness, and it’s still quite a way off my experience with Sony, Polaroid and LG TVs of much older models, if picture quality is your thing, visit a TV store and make sure it meets your needs first, otherwise small experience with its JVC counterpart is fairly positive 14-1-25

Good value for money!
I’m really impressed with the RCA Roku 40-Inch TV! The picture quality is crisp and clear with vibrant colors, and the sound is surprisingly good for a TV in this price range. The built-in Roku interface is super user-friendly, making it easy to stream all my favorite apps easily. Setup was quick and straightforward—I was up and running in about 10 minutes. It’s a great size for my medium-sized living room. Overall, it’s a fantastic value for the money. Highly recommend!

Need to change default setting to work properly with Freeview EPG
The RCA 22 inch standard TV is good value for money if all you want is a basic TV. The picture and sound are fine and there is a good choice of inputs. However, this TV is obviously made to be sold across the world so some of the default settings are not correct for the UK and the user manual is pretty useless. This is probably trivial, but there is no indication of which way the feet should be fitted, there is no mention in the user manual and there is no picture on the box. Not in itself a problem but an example of how lacking the instructions are. Another example of the “one size fits all” nature of the instructions is that it refers to DTV channels and not Freeview which again would not appear to be an issue except that the Freeview EPG doesn’t work correctly with the default settings. All minor observations which can’t detract from the fact that this TV is excellent value…..
