I had tried hours to calibrate so that I can have reasonable cut but failed to do so. Firstly the fence was not 90 to the base; had to fix that by uplifting backside of it. Then worked on blade to be perpendicular to the base which is easier to be said then done because as one moves the blade down there is huge "play". The movement on the blade arm makes it impossible to be cut straight regardless of how small the piece or how careful the user.I strongly suggest anyone to avoid this miter saw - easier to but more accurately even by hand saw :)
