Low Profile Replacement Small 15' Boat
Seems to work just fine, quality equivalent to most. Low profile like the last one so it fits where it's needed, but much less expensive. But, be advised...you cannot run this dry. Very short test probably OK, but that's about it. Auto operation doesn't seems to work that great, but OK for my purposes. I'd never trust auto operation for an open boat since leaves & other crud can jam the impeller.

Works as intended. I think 2 inches is a little high for a boat but you do have the automatic. Brown says its manual but it also says connect to power. But that needs to be connected to the switch. Brown and white connect to batter direct. . I got it hooked up so I can manually turn it on by my switch or I can the it automatically lift. I'll see how long it last. for 30 bucks I'll be happy to get 1 year.

Great buy.
This thing moves some water. Great pump. I leave my boat in the water and this pump makes sure it stays afloat. We’ve had some crazy rain storms and the automatic float switch keeps the water out. It has a bigger inlet than the old one so I had to run a new line but it was worth it.

Nice that it comes with good documentation and flow charts
EDIT: The original unit broke after a short time and the seller promptly replaced it. I have not had a chance to test the replacement yet but it's great that the seller has prompt customer service. This is my original review: I was looking at a competing brand that supposedly is made in the USA , but that one had really poor documentation with flow charts in Chinese units. This one is made in China but it actually comes with good documentation in English including flow charts. Good product for half the price. A few installation tips: 1) If you use this with a check valve, drill a small 1/16" hole before the check valve so the air can get out. Otherwise if you suck any air, a pocket of air can get trapped before the check valve and then the pump won't prime. 2) with 10' cables and a standard battery I wasn't quite getting enough head pressure so I bumped up the voltage with a separate power supply. You can get more pressure with more voltage 3) This unit does need to be level for the float to work reliably. Initially I had mine just attached to the hose which kept it in place just fine but it wasn't quite level, and the float would hang up. Sometimes it would fail to turn on and sometimes it would fail to turn off. I got a piece of hardy board that doesn't rot and screwed the pump to that, and that fixed it. Good product, been in use for a month orso now. I got this after my old pump did not draw down the water low enough. This one draws it down nice and low, maybe 1-2".

Definitely better than the competitor
OK, so we have a boat channel and I’ll be honest with you. I’ve used every pump known to man and these pumps are fantastic. Are they perfect now? Do they work great are they better than the competitor? Cruising SCHATZY
