It is so worth the price.
We live in an apartment with a covered balcony, so propane grills are a no-go. We tried a cheaper George Foreman electric grill, but hated the amount of grease that was pooled behind on the cast iron surface, and that we couldn't get good flavor or seal.We purchased the standard sized grill with the stand. Setup was relatively easy, although we did have a lot of issues getting the stand secured. The price of the stand seemed excessive compared to what you get. It is a standard plastic stand, and the side table that snaps on easily snaps off and falls down. For $100+, I would've expected something more secure and made of better material. The grill itself is amazing. The amount of cooking space and power is comparable to a tabletop propane grill. Preheating takes about 15 minutes, and it maintains its temperature throughout the cooking process. We get a beautiful sear on steaks and chicken. We're really looking forward to trying out the steamer tray that came with the grill.Cleanup has also been very easy. You preheat the grill, and then use a grill brush (not included) to scrape any residue off the cast iron grate. Cleanup of the grease chute at the bottom of the grill is a breeze as well. I also like that the grease can be caught in a disposable aluminum tray, although I'd love to see if there are reusable options out there to be less wasteful. All and all, we are so happy with this purchase. All in, we spent over $600 for the grill and the stand. But it was well worth the price! We are getting so much use out of this grill, and we've so excited for summer now!

Great Electric Grill
Excellent grill. Heat to over 600 degrees. Outer surface stays warm but not scorching. Grill grated are (2) easy to clean and handle. Very happy with this product!

Plenty of heat, temperature control could be better
Generally, well made with nice grills. It is solid and heavy, and not easy to move from place to place. Heats to a high temperature but takes a while to get really hot. The temperature regulation is on/off. The thermometer doesn't seem to respond very quickly to temperature changes. The biggest disappointment is that there is no indicator light when the grill is actually heating. There is only a constant power light that shows when it is turned on. This promotes "peeking" to see how things are going, and "when you're lookin', you're not cookin'. " Cleanup is always going to be a pain with an electric grill, but the disposable grease tray helps. Why they used screws to hold the element in place is a puzzle, because it makes it hard to remove the element to get at the catch pan underneath. I'm not sure the screws are even needed. (I have a Farberware electric rotisserie with a simple plug-in element that I have been using for 10+ years without a problem.) The catch pan can be removed for cleaning, but it is thin and easy to bend so if not treated gently.

Love, love, love our Lumin grill
Love, love, love our Lumin grill! We live in a 55+ one story condo complex. Gas grills must be used and stored at least 10 ft from the residence. It’s a pain and an eyesore. Our little grill can be used in our garage without compromising space. We’ve made salmon, flatiron steaks, hotdogs, and hamburgers in it so far. Everything tastes as good as any done on the big gas grills! It cleans up nicely, my hubby loves how the heat elements unscrews and unplugs so fully clean everything. The grates go in the dishwasher to make cleaning easy peasy! What an excellent design, worth every cent!Versatility:It cooks big grill in a small space!

Very disappointing!
I have been a very satisfied Weber customer for more than 4 decades, but my recent experience with the Lumin grill and more significantly Weber's customer service is the reason for the 1-star rating. If possible, I would have given zero stars. On the very rare occasions in the past when I've had to contact Weber's customer service it has been nothing short of fantastic. However, my latest experience with them has been the exact opposite.I have owned the Lumin Electric Grill since October 21, 2023. I purchased it as a replacement for the Q2400 Electric Grill which failed after 4 years of heavy use (no complaints). I purchased the newer Lumin grill because it claimed to pre-heat more quickly and sear better because it reached higher temperatures. These claims were true initially. However, in the past several months I noticed that the grill was taking longer and longer to pre-heat and never reached optimal searing temperatures anymore.I attempted to contact Weber to report the problem and found that they no longer provide a telephone # for support on their website. After a Google search, I found a # and spoke with a customer service representative and detailed my experiences. They informed me that they had created a ticket and that I would receive an email from a support person. The email I received asked me to completely restate my problem including the model and serial # of the grill (already provided to the representative I spoke with on the phone and documented in my product registration) before they could assist me. I provided the requested information and received a request to provide pictures of the heating element. Which I provided despite the fact that it required disassembling the unit. Weber responded with detailed operating instructions and power specs for the entirely wrong model of grill. When I responded that they provided me with incorrect information and corrected them, they placed an order for a replacement controller and provided me with tracking information for the shipment and informed me that I would receive the part in 7-10 days. After waiting approximately 2 weeks I discovered that FedEx had never received the shipment.I once again called customer service and was told that the part was out of stock for 6 more weeks! I explained that this was not acceptable, as without a working controller the $500 grill is useless! The representative stated that there was nothing more that they could do for me. I then requested to speak with a supervisor and was repeatedly placed on hold to wait for the supervisor to become available. Ultimately, I was told that the supervisor would call me back before the end of the day.It is now more than a week later and despite an additional call to customer service I have still not received a call back from anyone and I have a rather expensive paper weight sitting on my deck!I definitely do not recommend this grill or Weber to anyone anymore! It's very sad to see such a formerly great company fail so miserably!

Great grill
I’ve been using this grill almost everyday in my lanai,. My burgers turn out juicy and my family loves how they turn out.Steaks on the other hand don’t turn out as well as a propane grill. It tastes different. I get a better sear with a propane grill. This grill takes about 15-17 minutes to get to a good grill temperature.
