Integrative and Lifestyle Medicine in Physical Therapy: A guide for primary care, health promotion, and disease prevention Review: Integrative Approach of Lifestyle Healing from the Perspective of a PT and Beyond - As a Doctor of Physical Therapy (PT) for 10 years who has taken a Fellowship in Integrative Medicine (via AIHM) myself, it is a sincere gift to have this well organized summary of how to apply and address such abundant amounts of information with concise, evidence based approaches to help manage the health care of a whole person from the perspective of a PT. However, this approach of lifestyle change from a PT lens does not make this book only best utilized for a PT. In fact, for any provider of any profession there is benefits to reference this book as I do to continually to add or remind myself of concepts to optimize integrative lifestyle and health care approaches. This book can provide any provider or patient/person seeking other ways to change your emotional, cognitive, behavioral and somatic approach to health care, and assist one searching for multi-healing approaches and concepts to optimally be in one’s body regardless of your diagnosis, that best utilizes the patient and the team of providers approach to thrive in life!!!! Hope you give it a read, and if your a health educator or specifically a professor of a DPT program this book should be in your curriculum. Review: Small print - Print is very small and hard to read. I have not read it because of this

Book falling apart
I have no complaint about the content of the book, but the binding is falling apart even though I've had it for a very short time and have opened it fewer than 10 times. The pages rip from the binding as I turn them, despite being gentle, and the cover is detached from the book already. I was hoping to do multiple presentations to colleagues using info from this book, but I expect it will completely fall apart before I am able to do so.

Making "Lifestyle Medicine" a required read for all DPT students
I am a professor at St. Augustine University, I teach and coordinate the Wellness and Health Promotion curriculum for multiple campuses across the USA. I am so impressed with the writing and organization of this book that I will be petitioning the university to ensure that every one of our thousands of students can have this as a required text in their core studies. Lifestyle Medicine provides so many important necessary knowledge points and skills that fit perfectly within the ICF model of personal constructs and the prevention of disease and pathology through healthy living.

Great Text but Very Hard to Read
The type on this book is in a small font that isn't very dark. I see well with glasses and I can't read more than one page at a time as it is too difficult to read. I will probably have to get the digital version to read the whole thing I don't recommend the paper back version of this book.

A phenomenal resource for every PT
If this book became the basis for physical therapy curriculum, our profession would shift healthcare as we know it in massive ways, while providing high quality, sustainable care. Having worked with chronic pain for over a decade, and repeatedly seen how much healthcare misses the mark, this text provides an incredibly refreshing & thorough solution to a vast amount of the issues in healthcare. It manages to provide the science, evidence & clinically applicable tools in an impressively concise manner for each topic. While each topic the text presents could become a specialty area in itself, I love the way this is laid out as a very easy to grab reference. As much as it can seem like just looking something up on google is quicker, I've found myself realizing what an absolute time and sanity saver this book is, so it sits next to me on my desk. It is one truly every PT clinic should have copies of accessible to all of the PTs so we can start shifting healthcare so it is actually focused on the whole-person vs this harmful, silo'd approach.

Evidence Based Integration for Optimal Health
Wonderful read for anyone in the healthcare industry. Densely packed with up to date research to support patients and clients to the most optimal version of themselves. Another great book from Dr. Ginger Garner. I recommend medical therapeutic yoga as well.

Finally a book to show the impact of Lifestyle Medicine for PT’s
Ok, I will be honest, I wrote Chapter 13 on Pediatrics, but this entire book is full of renown PT’s in their specialty. Joe and Ginger did a phenomenal job putting this book together. I hope to be part of future updates and revisions.
