The pieces are well made and the perfect size for the board I made. The quality of the color and finish on the pieces is great.

This chess set is a perfect size for your larger sets. I use this for my chess board that is painted on to an outdoor table. The squares are 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" . These pieces are carved in the traditional chess piece style rather than some other style that I think is distractive. They are of a good weight, made of wood not plastic. These are gift quality and are well worth the price.
