NO battery included--worth considering if you already have compatible one.
Firstly this machine does NOT come with a battery or charger. Unless like me you have a compatible one from another machine then you will have to buy one seperately. A quick look at the website suggests a price of about £30 for the battery. Its unclear whether this includes the charger. This seems somewhat overpriced for a lightweight blower. However if you already have other tools with a compatible charger and battery then it may be worth considering. Both of the latter seem quite well made.On the positive side it charges quickly and there is a handy display of % charge left available. It is useful for awkward areas as it is light and reasoanably powerful but I wouldn't be using it for large (outdoor) areas. This goes double for the vacuum function. The bag is flimsy and small and the attachments seem an afterthought , not even included in the instructions. . Again if you really need a portable hoover this is not what I would go for . That said its easy to swop the functions and I can see me using it for spillages in my greenhouse and potting shed. Value all depends on whether you are already in possession of compatible charger and battery.

Edit Now used with battery
I did not realise this did not come with a battery. I looked at buying a battery and charger but that was way above £50 and it did not fit the other drill battery’s I use. I therefore cannot comment on how well it works. What I can say is it’s very small and if I do end up using it it will more likely be used with the vacuum function in the car rather than for leaves . The included leaf collection bag is tiny so would not fit many leaves in it . EDIT. The manufacturer reached out to me and sent me a battery so I could actually use the product and I am pleased they did because it is more competent than I thought it would be. For its size it actually blows really well and is really handy to have around for clearing overnight leaves etc. in many ways it’s a shame they don’t offer it as a standalone unit as this is and a bundle with a battery as well. It’s my stupid fault that I didn’t realise it didn’t come with a battery so to make it easier to understand for clods like me would be useful. As I say pleased they reached out and happy with the product .

Excellent value for money.
Bought this as a replacement for the official Makita leaf blower and I can honestly say it's as good of not better. The hoover attachment isn't great but the blower is brilliant. Perfect for cleaning tools.

This sucks (but not in a good way)
I was very disappointed in this product. It has a number of major design issues, and, for me, is best avoided.Firstly, it is an unexpectedly small unit. The air nozzle is short, meaning that it's necessary to bend down to use it properly, which makes it uncomforable to use for more than a couple of minutes. It is also underpowered. The motor is rated at 600W, but I found that it was simply not powerful enough for the task intended. In vacuum mode, things are even worse. Lacking the ability to reverse the direction of the air current, in order to vacuum it is necessary to mount the nozzle on the side of the unit (which functions as the air intake when in "blower" mode) and the collection bag to the front. This means, in effect, that it vacuums sideways on, which is very uncomfortable, and really a crime against ergonomics. In addition, the nozzle is too small to accommodate many leaf types, and the collection bag is ludicrously small, with a capacity of only about one litre - this is not large enough to be of any practical use at all. The unit's lack of power is also evident when it's used in vacuum mode. These, to me, are serious design flaws which, taken together, mean that this product is completely unsuitable for its intended purpose, especially so for vacuuming.I would not advise anyone to buy one of these.

For the price you should not expect a battery but a handy compact blower
IGNORE BAD REVIEWSMy review is based around the current selling price of £29.99 with no voucher availablePros:Excellent valueWell madeGood qualityEasy to useA few attachmentsCons:Blow tube is quite shortObviously not as solidly built as MakitaNo storage bag or case (so buy one so you don’t lose the bits!)Summary:I’m laughing at those who failed to read the description (Leaf Blower only), see the “(Not Include Battery)” on the photo and also think it should be included for £29.99. Crazy. I actually own Makita tools, so was only too happy to try this out, unlike others who seem mouse-click freebie happy but cannot actually test the item. I have tested it and for £29.99 as a very compact sucker and blower it is great. Obviously the battery adds weight to the item, so recommend getting a 2Ah battery rather than a 5Ah which will make it heavier.I received this for free and happy to give 5 stars based upon receiving this tool which is priced at £29.99. No battery is included, but not a fault of the seller but a fault of those who failed to read the description but had vulture mode enabled.
