Legit Hobby Tank
This is a cool hobby tank for the price. You prob shouldn't get the hand pump thing that they sometimes sell in my opinion as I've heard it's tough to use. The accessory quality like the tank holder is super high quality and built to last. Easy to buy fancier asseccories like regulator if it becomes a more serious hobby. I have a few of these and they are fun for shallow dives near the coast. Nice finish quality and great for a hobbyist or someone just getting their foot in the door. I use these on the NC/SC coast and have also taken them with me when spear fishing. Didn't have any issues. Pics with real view of total package.

Works great, perfect for boat!
I purchased this tank to bring on my boat and to store it easily, since storage room is always a premium on a boat. The portable diving tank fits beautifully and comes with an attractive case for storage. It is a solid and quality product, that was easy to set up. It will give great times for many years!

Great little tanks. Get certified. Dive safe.
My son and I are both certified divers who like to do hike in and dives some times. The size makes these great for that. Value is there although at a cost. The tanks and 1st stage are good but replace the hoses and second stage with your main kit(they fit). These are just super easy to grab and go. You will not pump these up with the hand pump so either get the compressor they sell or the block that lets you fill off of full size tank.Do not buy these for your uncertified kid to use in the pool. They aren’t toys. Don’t buy u less you are a certified diver.

Great price
This is a really nice setup for snorkeling. I use it to work on my boat lift. I can fill it at my house and the air lasts around 30 minutes at a shallow level. I’ve used it three times with no issues. If you want a fun scuba setup for low cost this is it. I would recommend an electric fill station as a hand pump will take a long time to fill.

Replacement parts are difficult to acquire.
Buyer beware. The product is fine and works as advertised. But I ruptured the safety valve, which cannot be reset, it must be replaced. I ordered the valve from SMACO and paid $50 for expedited shipping. It still has not arrived and that was 16 days ago. No tracking.

This is a must have on your sailboat
I bought this to have on my boat for many reasons, the quality seems good and it came with all of the connections as well as a connection to connect to a full sized dive tank which eliminates refills should you want to refill on the spot. I am a diver and would not use for recreational dives below 10 feet, also keep in mind a diver should have a safe second, BCD and more for recreational diving. Some mentioned that they are unable to fit this in the provided case while it contains air because of valve. I was able to recut the foam and fit the entire set while having it filled, it now is placed in diagonally with plenty of space in each corner for the regulator and other peripherals..

Good for boat owners
I was looking for an inexpensive "scuba" system that I can use to clean the hull of my boat. First I read the review "The SMACO Scuba Sytem: A Brutally Honest Review" by DIVEIN which helped me to understand the pros and cons. I have used the system a couple of times this season and now conclude the following:- This is not a cheap alternative to an actual scuba system!- The 2 Liter tank will only last 5 minutes when cleaning the boat (physical activity). Basically, I need two fills to get the job done.- The buoyancy cannot be controlled easily since it has no BCD. In my case the positive buoyancy helps me to clean the boat hull.- I wouldn't use this beyond 10 feet for safety reasons.- I recommend refilling the tank at a dive shop since the HEAP-1 compressor brings risks. After filling my tank with the HEAP-1 compressor for the third time the air had a very strong odor. Although the manual recommended changing the filter element every 5 to 6 times the filter was soaking wet even after one refill. The HEAP-1 doesn't properly filter out and dry air which leads to moisture build-up in the tank. After getting a better filter the air quality has improved. But it is not comparable to the air you get from the dive shop.Bottom line the system is good for boat owners to clean the hull, change the prop or retrieve a stuck anchor or items that went overboard. However, it is not a scuba system and the air quality is a concern if you use the HEAP-1 or a comparable compressor. I gave it 4 starts since it is perfect for me as a boat owner for occasional use but I wouldn't use it for scuba diving (I am a certified diver).
