The next generation of LED Torchiere Floor lamp is here from Artiva USA. " Saturn" is the most stylish and refined option to brighten up any living space in your home or office. Utilizing a new touch-sensing system, " Saturn" is able to switch between four different light settings. (low, medium, high, off) at a simple touch of a finger. Also unique to " Saturn" is it " Saturn Ring" : an ocean-blue light diffusing system which allows Artiva integrated 30W LED bulb(3000 lumens) to reach any corner of your living space. Compared to regular 200W Halogen lamp. Artiva 30W LED bulb alone will save you over $40 every year off of your electricity bill. (based on usage 6 hrs. per day and 11 cents per kilowatt) and never over heat again. The biggest industry-changing feature would be our patented automatic safety tip-over system (U. S. This innovative feature safeguards against accidental knock-down by children, pets, and earthquakes. As an added feature, this lamp come in recycled packaging.

It does give off light
2 stars for lighting up. I purchased this lamp to replace a similar old one that stopped working after about 15 years. I like the old one better. 3 main disappointments on this one: 1) I thought the "touch" function would be activated anywhere on the metal surface (as my old lamp was - convenient to tap it with a toe or bump it with an arm when I'm walking by and carrying things). This one ONLY activates when you touch the "on/off" button, so there's kind of no point to have touch-activation since you have to touch it right at the on/off switch anyway. 2) I thought it took a standard LED bulb. It does not. No idea yet where I'll get a replacement when the time comes. 3) Assembly was straightforward (you screw the pieces together in a logical order), but the grooves in one section of the shaft don't line up so it doesn't screw all the way together (see pics). Too much trouble to box the whole thing up and ship it back and wait for a replacement, so I'll just keep it. Also, annoying for me but may not make a difference to others - I have the lamp near my bed. At night, the LED light on the on/off button is so bright that I had to turn the lamp so that the button is facing the wall. So now when I need to turn the lamp on, it's even more annoying that I have to press the button and can't just touch anywhere metal on the fixture.

while not difficult it requires some patience as there are 5 parts that must be screwed together - it was good to have a helper the lamp must be on ...
iI just received and assembled the lamp. Assembly is required as mentioned in the description. while not difficult it requires some patience as there are 5 parts that must be screwed together - it was good to have a helperthe lamp must be on a solid surface as there is a reset button on the underside of the base if your carpet is too thick, as mine is, the button is pressed and the light does not function I found this out the hard way I emailed the service desk which called back quickly to resolve the problem three cheers to them.three light levels and high is as bright as I hoped

Good updated system, however....
I really like the update this is my third one the most resent ones that i had to throw out because the base is built with concrete and over time dries and breaks apart, it comes loose so it has nothing to hold the pole up straight and it happened right after i changed the bulb, the original bulbs were 300 watt halogens which i really liked and could change them when it went out, the new ones have a night light and touch feature which is fine and easier to put together, but the LED bulb is built in and it's only about 250 lumens i think, but still bright enough but i can't find out which bulb to replace it with when it goes out and i was told that you cannot change the light when it goes out so you would have to buy a new lamp when it goes out, if Amazon could find out which bulbs to replace it with that would be phenomenal and carry them to be sold to customers even better, otherwise a pretty good pole lamp.

Leaning Tower of Lampdom
The threads of the column did not properly align and so the column never stood up straight. Who needs or wants a leaning lamppost? For some reason, the lamp has a "tilt" feature that makes it turn on and off as it tilts. We tested the lamp to see if the switch worked properly and the light flickered on and off as the column swayed (and we had definitely tightened it as much as possible). The manufacturer suggests two people are needed to assemble the lamp. At least three would be better. Also, the base of the lamp was dinged and pinged and slightly scratched. Finally, the color is NOT BLACK.

Awesome Light
This Artiva LED Saturn light is very nice. It came in a timely manner and was well packaged. The LED is a soft yellow glow. The "saturn ring" is plastic, and the light pole is metal. If you do a lot of night time reading then this is probably not the light for you. It does however light the room up nicely and is good for light reading and t.v. watching. It's a beautiful contemporary light.

Need electrician to change bulb
Had to return lamp after 1 year. Light replacement requires an electrician (per Artiva). Own another which the light mechanism is going bad. Will be less expensive to buy a different lamp when it fails. Amazon did not provide sufficient information.

Lamp flickers after a year and bulb isn't replaceable
Lamp has started flickering on every setting except the lowest after 1 year and 2 months. Right after the warranty conveniently runs out. And the bulb isn't replaceable.

Cheap junk
Very cheaply made. Super hard to assemble due to low quality threads. The light is very dim and it looks like the cheapest and low quality LED bulb was used. Look elsewhere.
