Don't trash your printer, just because the powercord is bad. That is what I was faced with when my powercord had a short in it. I looked at the printers at Best Buys, which is where I purchased my Photosmart C4280 a few years ago. The chintzy stuff on the market today does not compare to my C4280 and I was not ready to trash it over the powercord. Thanks to the salesman at Bestbuy who helped me find what I needed online at Amazon. I went home and ordered the powercord from Amazon (my first purchase from Amazon, ever) and recieved it in a few short days. Installed the powercord and my printer is working as good as new once again.

Even though the voltage and amp rating on several HP printers are the same they change the fitting just a little that you need to be careful when ordering. This was exactly the correct power supply for this old printer.

This was sent to my granddaughter for use on her own printer to which she has misplaced the adapter. She was using the printer in her 4th grade class when she has to print parts of books for students to use since the school does not furnish adequate (if any) supplies. worked perfectly
