Has a good firm grip... my winters are very cold and dry (below 0 Fahrenheit on the worst days), but only need to give the rosin 2 swipes on my bow for it to work. It's getting a bit warmer now (around 37-40 degrees), so I add two to four swipes of light rosin on top. Feels great :)

I like this rosin - I pair it with an oblagato base and this is my top. By itself - I get a too much crunch when I use this by itself, but it allows me to get all the power out of my fiddle - the oblagato didn't have enough grab to dig and get the power out of it. I wish I could get this just a tiny bit lighter like 25-30% dark light rosin. But I 100% think this is a good rosin for the price point.

For the price, I expected something less damaged, but whatever 😮‍💨

The original rosin that shipped was cracked and I requested a replacement for it. The manufacturer promptly sent a replacement right away without hesitation. I ordered the rosin for my son who is a College music major and plays the viola. The rosin is easy to apply and goes on evenly across the bow. It provides a nice, rich sound and have no complaints about it. It’s too early to tell if the rosin lasts longer compared to other rosins, but this one performs nicely and is a good value.

The rosin is packed in an easy to open/close case that is well constructer and small enough to fit in the miserly compartment of most violin cases. The look and feel of the rosin is rich, and goes on well.
