Descent Second Edition: Shadow of Nerekhall

Shadow of Nerekhall is an excellent addition to Descent. The four new heroes and classes are very unique and fun to play. Charging in with my dual wielding Skirmisher and hacking monsters to bits while my team mate summons Mirror Images of himself on the battlefield to wreck are foes is very exciting.The new campaign is huge and has been very fun to play so far (currently halfway through it). The new monsters can be a royal pain to fight against, as well as some of the new Overlord cards which can be pretty devastating. This expansion adds a host of new tiles which are well-done. However, this is not a stand-alone game. You need to have a copy of Descent Second Edition in order to play. If you're looking for new, fun adventures, and to spice up Descent, then this expansion is for you.

I don't know what to add because so many of the positive reviews capture everything and give good descriptions of the products. I will say that Fantasy Flight creates very solid products. This box set doesn't disappoint. The pieces and tiles are very high quality. The price on Amazon also makes this a good deal. We been playing a lot of Descent with the pandemic. I just sad that Fantasy Flight has stopped adding to this product line. I definitely continue to expand on this game.

A must have and already out of print. This box gives you 4 new classes a few new characters and adds a new flavor to the game. Play it as a stand alone or add in to the base game. Buy this now before it gets double or triple price and then gone for good. Oh yeah there is a free app that makes this game 100% co-op

Personally I'm not a huge fan of the included new classes but they are unique. The campaign is also much more complicated then the original which I enjoy.

Rarest expansion of Descent. Fast delivery in the middle west, however, the price could be better. Definitely, I will consider for further purchases of board games.

Good box with plenty of content for its price. Probably best bang for bucks value compared to other expansions.

Excellent! Very hard for the heroes to win, even the intro quest. Good monsters and new overlord cards. The new heroes are so- so.

Awesome expansion! Very dark dungeons and creatures. The lieutenants are very cool too.
