No More Charging The Bluetooth Speaker On My NIghtstand Update: Great For Radio
Update #1: 4-5-25Better than I expected for use as a radio. I listen to only one station which I can also use an internet app to listen to but the radio is so much cooler and being portable is not tethered to a computing device like an app is. Anyone, with a bid of fine tuning effort I was able to lock the radio into the one station I listen to. This was no small task as the station is not the most powerful and is located between some more powerful stations. However, now that it is I locked in to that one station the reception is great and what is just is good is I can move the radio around and it stays locked into that station. The separation in distance and difference in size between the tuner and volume on/off wheels is enough so that I don't accidentally roll the tuner wheel when I am attempting to use the volume on/off wheel.Brings back a lot of good old memories when radios where the only way to listen to radio stations. One update on the Bluetooth. The connection is great when switching between radio and Bluetooth. It quickly connects to my phone each and every time when I make the switch.-----------------------------------------------------------I purchased this item to use as a Bluetooth speaker on my nightstand, so I wouldn't have to worry anymore about that Bluetooth speaker running out of battery in the middle of the night when I am listening to music. It paired up instantaneously with my phones. I have an old Pocophone (2018) without a SIM card that I use for playing music from my two favorite streaming apps to save battery on my backup phone. (see below) The JEUJUNG paired up with it instantaneously. The audio was a low and I had to turn up the volume to 80% on both the phone and JEUJUNG to get a loud enough sound to my satisfaction, which actually isn't a very loud soundI thought it might be the JEUJUNG that was causing a weaker sound, so I paired it up with my not so old Galaxy A52 5G (2020) with a SIM card which I keep on the nightstand just in case I have to make an emergency call at night. I also use it as my backup phone. Anyway, the JEUJUNG also paired up instantaneously with the Galaxy phone. This time the sound was plenty loud enough so I think the weaker sound with the Pocophone phone pairing is due to the phone and not the JEUJUNG.I leave the JEJUNG plugged in when I am using it. No more having to charge the Bluetooth speaker on my nightstand. I only listen to one radio station and other than one program on Sunday morning I only listen to that station in my car. The JEUGUNG found the one station I listen to with a strong enough reception, so if I am in bed on Sunday morning and want to listen to that one program I can use the JEUJUNG for that purpose.I am giving this JEUJUNG a five star rating because it works as I hoped it would when I bought it. I could ding it one star for the weak sound when paired with the Pocophone F1 but since the sound is still loud enough when the volume is turned up to 80% and more than loud enough when paired with the Galaxy A52 5G I am giving the JEUJUNG a five star rating. Great value for the money and does what I hoped it would.Ironically when playing music straight from the phone the sound is louder on the Pocophone than on the Galaxy. Go figure. However, the sound is louder with better quality when playing music using the JEUJUNG in its Bluetooth mode than it is straight from the phones. Also, the sound is louder from the JEUJUNG than it was from my the old Soundcore 2 which the JEUJUNG replaced. The Soundcore 2 does throw out a deeper bass but still it requires charging which takes a long time if the battery is low and that is why I replaced it with the JEUJUNG.

Great Radio for Casual Listening
I bought this radio for my off the grid cabin. We're used it all day, everyday for a week. It held a charge very well. We plugged it in every evening to top it off but that was probably not necessary. It gets very good reception. We've used several radios at our cabin and often have trouble getting stations. The sound quality is good. If you're looking for something great it won't suffice but for casual listening it's perfect. Also plenty of volume. The carrying handle is nice, just makes it easy to grab and move. We chose the slider dial option so it will physically maintain the station we're tuned to. It seemed like the better option for taking it on and off power regularly.Only negative, I wish the dial was backlit. It wasnt a problem often but there were times it was just a bit too dark to see the numbers.Overall great product for our purposes. Nice to have a simple radio with a sole purpose.

Failed, But Replaced by Seller! ( See Update)
I just updated about wandering tuning when, now, the radio suddenly just failed to work for AM, FM and Bluetooth! All that works is the time alarm and lighted screen. The fully charged battery shows as fully depleted, which wouldn't allow the screen or time to work, so that's bogus.I'll update this after I find if the Jeujug company responds to my contact on their website, asking for their help.UPDATE:JEUJUG RESPONDED!I contacted the company. Jeujug sent me a replacement! All seems to be working well, but tuning wander still exists when turned back on. (See explanation below)-----------------------------------------------------I needed a new radio for my unheated sunroom here in CT. I go out there a few times a day for just a few minutes at a time. This Jeujug AM/FM radio seemed to have all the features I wanted, along with an alarm function that I'll probably never use.PROS:I wanted an emergency radio with rechargeability, in the event of a power failure. This model stays fully recharged when used plugged into an AC outlet. CHECK! I wanted standard battery backup for the built-in rechargeables. This one accepts 4 D-cell back-up batteries. CHECK! I wanted a digital display with digital tuning. CHECK! I wanted a pull-out antenna and a carry handle. CHECK! I wanted good, undistorted sound with high-volume capability. CHECK! I wanted Bluetooth, so I could occasionally listen to tunes from my smartphone. CHECK!Thanks to the telescopic antenna, the FM reception is quite strong, even here in my very rural location. Better than my old boom box radio. The AM reception is awful, though. But that's not uncommon where I live. Anyway, I'm really an FM listener. At the low volume I use, so far the rechargeable battery seems to have a long life. That's a good thing for longer power failures, or for trips to the beach, camping, etc. By the way, the sound remains strong and undistorted at high volume settings. I was quite surprised at how high the volume can go! It can easily fill a larger room. The display only stays lit (white) for a few seconds when you turn on the radio, showing battery level and what you've chosen/tuned in. When the radio is off, the time and battery level are displayed (unlit). But, whether the radio is on or off, pressing the SNOOZE button lights the display for several seconds, showing time and battery. (See photos)CONS:1.) The only way to turn the radio on or off is via a side-mounted slide switch. That switch also selects between ON/OFF, Alarm, AM, FM and Bluetooth. I do wish it had a simple On/Off pushbutton on the front or top of the radio. That way it would conveniently come on with my previous selection (usually FM). I'm hoping the slide switch can survive the thousands of cycles I'll put it through in the coming months and years.2.) I tend to use very low volume. The volume adjustment knob on the side is VERY sensitive at low volumes. Even the slightest adjustment delivers BIG changes. I have to be extremely careful to barely move the knob to get the exact low volume I desire.3.) Because the telescopic antenna is actually attached just a bit down on the side of the radio casing, instead of on the very top, you cannot rotate it a full 360 degrees without it hitting the casing. This stops any further rotation. So, you must turn the radio itself to properly align the antenna for the best reception of certain stations. Sometimes that means turning the radio completely around, facing away from you! This is the radio's biggest negative, in my opinion. (See photos)4.) I've started noticing the tuning wandering! I turn it off on 94.9 FM. When I turn it back on, it's still set for 94.9, as it should be. BUT, often times, there is either 100% pure static, or moderate static atop the station signal. If I bring the tuning up or down one step, and then return it to 94.9, the reception returns to crystal clear!! I have NEVER experienced such a phenomenon in any digital FM radio before. I didn't notice any other reviewers mentioning this, so maybe I was just unlucky, and got a faulty tuner. I don't keep it on long enough to say whether it eventually wanders when left on. I will try and see, and edit my update when I know.Overall, with the free replacement, I can now say that I'm pretty much satisfied with this Jeujug portable AM/FM radio. Were it not for cons #1, #3 and #4, I would have rated it a full 5 stars.

Great reception, sounds very good, three power modes, easy to operate, fantastic price!
This 'necessary' arrived today. None of our five radio resources can pick up a single station, AM or FM. We have a local FM station three blocks away from our home, too. My wife plugged in our new Jeujug radio and found ten fm radio stations; Great Reception. The sound quality is not high fidelity but more than easy to listen to for having one speaker. Three power resources and a clock radio; info in an emergency make's this little guy just perfect for our needs. Looks good, and quality is top tier!
