6-7 hours keeps your food hot! Great for work.
At work I would never take food me even if I could heat it up using the microwave they had in the kitchen as it was hardly cleaned.I thought it would be a great idea to fatty the thermos and see if it actually worked. I cook salmon with a bit of rice and vegetables the night before work. I microwave it at home the morning just before leaving. I would say it keeps food hotter than warm but it’s not piping hot it’s just right.6 hours later.

Easy to clean and the dimpled lid adds extra grip to facilitate the lid's removal
The product is fabulous. Small but perfectly formed. I've made porridge in here and it's Perfect. Pour hot water off the boil into the container and replace the lead, leave for 10 minutes. Then, discard the water and add porridge oats and top up with boiling water (the amount of water depends on personal preference). You may need to experiment, how thick or runny you like your porridge. Place the lid back onto the container and leave for about 45 minutes. You will have creamy, delicious and heart-warming porridge. No saucepan to wash, no single-serving pot to dispose off, no cooking or even microwaving. Honest , healthy food and your bit for the environment. What's not to like. i have not test tried the container for carrying soup in and the temperature the retained. However, the porridge was piping hot (that said, I usually consume the porridge within two hours of it being prepared).

happy it is not made in China. Performance quite nice. works best with liquid (soup or hot drinks). performance with dry food is slightly less satisfying.

Very useful
Very useful for my 9 yr old for packed lunch for school. The soup stays really hot till lunch time.

Reliable product will last for years
Zojirushi products are excellent quality. Had my coffee thermos for years & this food container is great so far. I can have hot food on my lunch at very long hospital shifts. A great investment for anyone that works in healthcare or another environment where it’s hard to get lunch easily. But don’t buy it if you don’t have time to clean all the parts after use, because if you don’t look after it properly you will have a health risk from bacteria buildup! It’s very important to follow the directions properly.
