Not brand new! Poor quality printing. Package had been opened and taped shut.
I always check the printer ink status on the printer when I load a new cartridge. The ink status says full, but the imaging status says 50%. That is a big difference and key to knowing if this was a refilled cartridge or a brand new one. Since I paid the 'brand new price, it's going back! Prints horrible and too light. Product was previously opened and taped shut - not new! Don't buy!

Spend the $ for authentic cartridge
Tried to save a little money by buying a "reconditioned" cartridge but it made every other page jam. Had to quickly order this original Dell so that we could get back to work instead of clearing paper jams. This new DELL cartridge works great. Not worth trying to save a few dollars - buy this one and you have a guarantee that it will work.

I bought these as Amazon was the cheapest for this toner. Since this purchase I have bought several other times. Lasts a long time and always worked with the printer.
