Which is the ground terminal?

Before there was "stereo" there was "telephony." The three screws are labeled above each screw as R S and T. When one looks at a stereo, 3-prong plug, one sees the Tip at the very point, then the Ring and finally the longer Sleeve. The "Sleeve" on the jack is also the mounting portion and has threads to fasten the nut onto, to hold the jack in place. When mounted onto a metal chassis (housing) it is usually grounded for safety reasons and as an electrical 'return' for components. Thus the 'S' or 'Sleeve' is the 'ground' connection. Adapter, ich bin zufrieden :-)

Der erste von zwei funktioniert prima.Kinder und Kopfhörer...was passiert gerne? Genau...die Leitung zwischen Kopfhörer und Endgerät hatte einen Wackelkontakt. Daraufhin habe ich diesen Adapter in den Kopfhörer eingebaut. Für den Fall, dass irgendwann wieder ein Wackelkontakt kommt, brauch ich jetzt nur die Leitung tauschen.Der zweite Adapter liegt in der Schublade...mal sehen, wann der zum Einsatz kommt.
