Good camera, good battery, don't forget to charge it
This is a neat little camera and one of the very few options I could find to place a WiFi camera inside my bird box. WiFi setup is super-easy and I had it installed and connected to my home WiFi and viewable on my phone in minutes. That was the easy part.Mounting it inside the bird box was trickier, but fairly straight-forward. I used hot glue to affix it and the cables to the underside of the birdbox lid, taking care to leave enough room for the lid to close, to plug in power and to put in/out the micro SD card. I placed the antenna outside the box on the roof. It was easy using the phone app to make sure that the view inside the bird box was clear and unobstructed.I also purchased a solar panel separately on Amazon to maintain a charge in the unit, which I mounted on the top of the post I attached the bird box to. We have several bluebird boxes on posts on our property here in Virginia and they are generally successful, attracting nesting bluebirds. I expect this one will do similar, but this time I'll have an inside view of what's going on in there. I can't tell yet how successful the solar panel will be as we've not had successive sunny days here to charge it, so how well that does remains to be seen. The camera seems to perform well when within range of the WiFi signal. It only uses 2.4 GHz so you'll have to downgrade your 5 GHz network if you don't have 2.4 GHz to connect to. Your phone and the device also have to stay on that network, but this is very common with domestic IP cameras. So, overall this was a fun project and the camera performs well and as intended. We haven't seen any bluebirds take up residence yet, and as mentioned already, the solar panel didn't keep the battery up, so I had to take it down to recharge it. This is no fault of the camera, it works as indicated. The solar panel is a separate purchase and completely my own idea/experiment. When charged the camera works great. I'm expecting sunshine hereafter and, if this works as expected, I'll be buying more.Hope this helps.

Really great idea and pretty good camera. It works great for me.
It is compact and easy to set up. Wifi needs to be decent wherever you place it in the yard or you cannot see the video on your phone. The camera can easily be set up with an external battery so you can remove it to charge or replace with an already charged one.

Do not purchase for birdhouse. Won't suit your needs at all!!!
WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!! I have purchased 3 now. First two: 1st way too delicate...comes apart too easy so when trying to set it up you can damage it too easily...which I did. 2nd one worked for about a day and then wouldn't do anything. Red light. Couldn't reset...nothing so I purchased a 3rd thinking, well the 1st was my fault....(again, way too delicate design and not practical). the third one worked once...but would not stay programed for the birdhouse I was trying to put it in...It only works while inside. That is not where I want to use it. The idea is good...but far from useful in its current design. Also MUST be hardwired for a birdhouse!!!!!!! That isn't practical

super easy to setup and good image quality
I was frankly amazed at how quickly this went from the box to connected to my WIFI (10 minutes max) to display on my phone, Android tablet and Raspberry Pi (all within an hour), and finally to live streaming on Youtube (took a day for approval to be registered on their site). We're anything but geeks, and had very few and relatively inconsequential, easily and quickly resolved, glitches along the way. It's not yet in our pre-existing owl box (still high in the tree), but we're now convinced it will work there, having moved the camera around to areas with simlar darkness and focal distances, and viewing it on different devices. The main doubts we initially had about how well it might work are gone. Sure seems like great value for the money and we'll get on with finalizing our overall build design and getting the box down to remodel it. We'll now order a solar panel and battery pack, and likely a second camera to get different views.

Best solution for adding a camera to a bird house
Perfect bird box camera when you already have a bird house to put it in. No point buying an expensive house/camera combo that can be over priced. I bought this because of the price and the size. I 3D printed a bird house that would allow this little camera to fit perfectly into, complete with a back plate to protect the electronics.Setup was a breeze and the picture quality is awesome. After looking at a LOT of options for bird box cameras, I bought this one because it seemed like the best option - and I've not been disappointed. Will definitely be getting more.

Makes a great bluebird spycam
Installed this little camera in our bluebird house to monitor for invasive species. Works like a charm. The app installed easily on both my android and my wife's iPhone and it's communicating well even though about 60' from our WIFI router.Haven't investigated yet whether the app will work on our Mac but that would be nice. We decided to run a dedicated power line as the house spends much of its day in the shade and a solar option would not have worked. Now if I can keep from cutting it with the lawn mower we should be good.

Power Hungry Monster
The camera connects to Wi-Fi and records great videos. The application is easy to use and provides a variety of customizations for the camera. My main concern is how quickly the camera drains its battery life. The camera drained its battery and a fully charged 20000 mah power bank in less than 24 hours. I even changed the camera settings to lowest quality recording, minimal motion detection, and set it to only record 1 minute segments if it detected movement. I bought this camera with the hope that combined with a solar panel and the 20000 mah battery pack, I wouldn't have to toggle the on and off switch. Sadly this won't be possible because the camera pulls energy like an aluminum factory.

Happy with this Camera!
Excellent camera for what we wanted to use it for, adding to our existing wood duck house. The views are crisp and clear with great colors. The night mode works well too. Set up was easy. We are looking forward to finally catching the hatching chicks!
