What a difference
Much improved performance from old mini mag lite gone is the yellowy white light and batteries now last a fair bit longer - recommended

Very bright, but needs a modification to operate the torch's on/off switch
Arrived a couple of days late (understand that this was due to Royal Mail, and not supplier's fault). Not really a problem since the parcel was small enough to fit through a letter box.It certainly throws out a lot of light. Its much brighter than the old LED upgrade kit (supplied by Maglite) I was replacing after it developed a fault. Unfortunately, the disk shaped section at the bottom of the unit wasn't thick enough to reliably turn the torch off when I screwed the torch's lens cap down. After a bit of trial and error, I added a 16 mm outside diameter fibre washer (originally intended for plumbing) on top of that disk, and the extra millimetre of thickness was enough to overcome this. Shouldn't be necessary to improvise like this.

A nice upgrade to old MiniMaglite
A straightforward swap for an old MiniMaglite and a step up in brightness. I hope it lasts as long as claimed ... in which case it will be good value as the original bulbs are not cheap either. Since it just uses the original fitting you can keep an old bulb in the end cap to use for a backup. You can't really compete with a modern spec LED torch but this further extends the usefulness of your old Maglite.

What a transformation!
I was about to consign an elderly mini-maglite with a feeble yellow beam to a charity shop, but thought it could be worth giving this LED adapter a shot. What a change! I now have a very adequate bright-white working torch again. True, it's not the most powerful small torch available - there are plenty around at very cheap prices which do better. But the satisfaction of giving something a new lease of life rather than disposing of it is considerable. Very happy.

It is an improvement over the original bulb but it is not as good a lederhosen LED torches of the same size.
