Great expansion. Need to have a strong foundation of the original game before playing this. Love the concept of Boons and Hexes! The night phase cards are really unique and add a cool new element to the game. Some new cards are a little weak compared to others which make them rarely used.

I am so glad I live in a timeline where Dominion exists. I have had people I teach play the game that would typically ask. "Is it like Magic (the gathering)?" I have to explain to them simply that no not at all really, but its a great game to play with 3-4 players and I can teach you in 10 minutes. Setup a basic spread and every single one of them were hooked. This game is most enjoyable is you have ONE person in your friends/family that truly understands the nuance of the game and can keep the spreads and gameplay interesting while paying attention to the rules with undivided attention. This expansion delivers some engaging new mechanics and nuance. I'm still exploring all the possibilities. To all the Dominion heads out there. thumbs up.

This is a great dominion expansion! We have intrigue, prosperity, hinterlands, seaside, adventures, dark ages, and (sadly) a dusty copy of alchemy. Prosperity has been everyone’s favorite for years however nocturne is now the most popular expansion with our extended family gaming group. A real pleasant surprise and a whole lot of fun to play!

With the exception of two promo cards, I have every card for this game - thousands of cards.This expansion comes with 500 by itself.Everytime I think they'll run out of new mechanics to introduce, they make a fool out of me.Interestingly enough, there is actually a "Fool" in this expansion.Easily my favorite expansion by far.Also recommend picking up the free app "Jack of all Dominion" as a companion to this game.

I’ve been playing dominion for about 10 years now. I have to say that this is the hardest expansion pack I’ve played because of all the new game mechanics. That being said, it’s my favorite expansion! I would only recommend this expansion to someone who is an experienced dominion player or someone very comfortable with a challenge. Keep the rule book handy. You will need it.

This might be my favorite expansion!! We have them all, so that’s really saying something. Vampires turn into bats and vice versa; night cards don’t use actions; some cards give boons while others give hexes - it’s so complex! We are loving it. It’s a fun “creatures of the night” concept with ghosts, pixies, haunted objects, etc. Excellent game!

This is one of the wildest expansions I've played for Dominion. Boons and hexes provide randomized positive and negative effects, night cards change up the strategy in a really unique way, and heirlooms add variety to the start of the game.If you're looking for an expansion that will give you interesting strategic options to use to defeat your friends, that isn't too luck-based, this expansion might not be for you due to the randomness of boons/hexes and combo cards like Leprechaun. If you want an expansion that is lighthearted, fun, and sometimes chaotic or silly, check out Nocturne.
