Dell Ultrasharp 34" U3417W Curved IPS 21:9 Ultrawide Monitor

I’ve spent many hours reading reviews, watching videos and searching forums just to get as much information about this monitor before the actual purchase.When I bought it:Straight out of the box all cables are provided, which was a positive surprise, easy setup. Like in all reviews I can Confirm that the stand is very solid and the view is immersive.The thing that was stoping me from buying it was a price, because in that price range I could grab a powerful Graphic card and I am just a student, but this purchase was definitely worth it. And I’m sure it will pay back in the long-term.If you need plenty of space on your desktop, this is the one you want. Comparing Acers Asus, LG and Dell, dell is wining in every aspect aparts from the LG freesync which I don’t need anyway.This monitor for productivity like coding is awesome. My efficiency was boosted radically when I got the screen.Would definitely be a 6/5 if not the price.

It's not as high as I expected. My previous monitor was a 16:10 30" display, and yes, I know this is a 21:9 display, but I was a little surprised that it was noticeably less high. It is, however, far wider!Image quality is excellent, and game speed is really good (I'm using a GTX 1080).I wasn't expecting the image to be as immersive as it turns out to be. It's amusing when the video segments of the game come on, because they get displayed in 16:9, with black bars down each side, but during the rest of the game it's operating in 21:9. Amusing, but not distracting.I've only used it a little for non-game work, but the extra pixels mean a lot of screen real estate, and that's welcome.

Excellent quality although my nearest comparison is an iMac 27" cinema display and I have no direct comparison with other 34" curved monitorsGentle curve *does* help with reflections without appearing odd.Automatic USB hub switching on input switch is a godsend and works better than any dedicated USB switch I've used. This also allows one pair of headphones to be used for any attached PC, give HDMI / DP connections. All in all allows far neater setup.Downsides:* whole wobbles in the XY plane when operating the physical switches on the front left* PITA to connect the cables in the first place. visibility and access very poor on the underside

A fantastic monitor, can fault it. PiP and PbP is not as useful as you would think, but I expected that. Its real sturdy (unlike most alternatives) and great image quality. I deliberated for some time on whether or not to purchase this monitor, but am really pleased that I did. It makes my 27" in the office feel small. I've not used it for gaming (yet) but for Office apps and video I can't fault it.

An excellent monitor, but after about a year it has started randomly switching itself off and on again.Usual support run around, and will prove very expensive if Amazon and/or Dell absolve themselves of responsibility as they show every sign of doing.

expensive but lovely monitor. I swapped from two side by side, and this is almost as big, and now no bar down the middle! Speakers are OK for a monitor too.

great size. no need for 2 screens anymore. Love the curve and ability to open and use several windows on one screen

Outstanding, can't recommend highly enough.

Läuft bis jetzt gut. Bin zufrieden. Verarbeitung könnte besser sein. Kunststoffteile und Metalteile sind nicht sehr passgenau.
