Effective and real like owl decoy
I recently purchased this pack of two owl decoys to scare other animals that comes to my yard. These decoys are not only realistic but also highly effective at keeping small animals away from my backyard garden. The attention to detail in their design is impressive, with lifelike features and vibrant colors that make them look like real owls.Since placing them in my yard, I’ve noticed a significant decrease in squirrels, rabbits, and other critters nibbling on my plants. The decoys are lightweight yet sturdy. I also love it asthat they come in a pair .If you’re looking for an affordable and humane way to protect your garden, I highly recommend these owl decoys. They’re both functional and a charming addition to any outdoor space .

Fake Owl Decoys to Scare Birds
When I was looking for a new way to deal with the recurring bird problem that I have, I came across these owl decoys for the first time a few weeks ago. My attention was instantly drawn to the product description, which boasted a highly lifelike appearance and a mechanism that allowed the head to rotate. Intrigued, I made the decision to give them a shot, and I am so happy that I did. Immediately after getting the decoys, I was astonished by the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail found in them. The paint job on the owls is extremely realistic, with exquisite feather patterns and a penetrating, genuine look. The owls are made of plastic that is designed to withstand the elements and is long-lasting. The owls appear to be continually inspecting their territory thanks to the rotating head mechanism, which is powered by a small solar panel. This lends an additional element of realism to the owls.

Helps keep the Woodpeckers away!
Got these to help keep the annoying Woodpecker off my metal chimney cap. So far it has only returned once. It was coming every morning before 7:00am. I would say that’s a win! It was making me CRAZY! Happy I purchased them. They are slightly smaller than I thought they would be. I have a pole in one and have it attached to the top of my fence with zip ties to give it some height (and it makes it VERY noticeable). Probably keeps them out of my neighbors yard too.

Does not work with squirrels
One of the owls would not move in the wind, only by hand. I returned/exchanged and had the same result with the replacement. That said, my owls must have invited the squirrels over for a party because they ate tomatoes right in front of it, and that's with me moving them around everyday! I do have a picture with a game cam of the squirrel with the tomato in his mouth but it was too grainy to post after zooming in...I'm giving 3 stars because they do look really good and I'm not having issues with birds, but then we never really have. I filled my owls with decomposed granite and they are pretty sturdy - did not get knocked over in 50+ mph storm winds but the squirrels did knock one of them off the fence at some point running past or over it.I just don't get it. We have hickory nuts everywhere. A 250B gallon lake across the street. I even put out a dog bowl with water for the deer that these guys could have but they seem to like my tomatoes more than anything and I was really hoping the owls would work. Only the sight of humans or dogs seem to scare them off.

Outsmarting mischievous Squirrels
I was having a problem with squirrels chewing on outdoor pillows and chair cushions and a friend suggested it might help to put owl decoys on the porch. Sounded like a plan to me so I went to my favorite online store and lo and behold, Amazon has them. These came in a set of two and they actually look like real owls. They were reasonably priced and all you have to do is stabilize them with sand or pebbles and they will stand alone, or the manufacturer suggests you can stake them in the yard. I decided on weighting them and they stand sentinel on a wicker table. I love them! They are pleasing to my eyes but not to the squirrels. You will need to occasionally move them around so the squirrels don’t figure out they aren’t real. If you’re having a wildlife problem with chewing rodents stealing stuffing to make nests try these . They actually work!

Small parrot sized owls.
These owls are tiny!!!!!!!’ The hawks in my neighbors yard are way larger. The hawks have literally swooped in my backyard next to these little owls like there nothing. Birds are smart and these owls are not big enough for a normal size hawk. They are prolly 1/2 the size of a full sized owl. They don’t work. I live in a residential neighborhood and have never in the 15 years living here had hawks. These little owls do not scare them. The hawks are prolly laughing at my attempt. I have a Sox pound dog and they are preying. I would not trust these with your beloved pet or small child. Also they advertise a moving head 😂 it’s a tiny little piece of plastic that could potentially spin a tiny bit with wind. I have had them outside for over a week and there heads have not moved an inch. There video a pictures do not match the product you receive.

Bought these for my mom — she loves them!
I got this 2-pack of owl decoys for my mom because she absolutely loves fun and decorative things for the yard. She was so excited when she saw them! Not only do they look great in her garden, but they actually help keep birds and pests away. The rotating heads are a nice touch and make them look more realistic. Great gift for anyone who enjoys yard decor with a purpose!
