Absolutely delighted with the chair. Well designed, well made in solid wood, comfortable to sit on (with a cushion; I use it as my 'office' chair, am sat on it as I write...) and the ladder function is excellent, easy to put into position and return. I have many high storage cupboards, so use it frequently in ladder mode. The extending safety bar gives a great feeling of security. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Excellent quality - worth the rather high price, can be a little difficult to remember how to move into the step position if not used frequently, but not too difficult to work out.

Absolutely gorgeous chair - I've been after something like this for ages. I am vertically challenged and wanted a ladder chair (chair that can be converted into a ladder). Unfortunately it arrived damaged - 2 chunks of wood missing from upper beam - not in box so must have been packaged in damaged state. Returning the chair but hoping I can then purchase another one as it really is very good quality.

Quite a chunky piece but love the design and style. Beautifully made from solid wood.

Where does one start. Quite a heavy item but well made and sturdy. Not the easiest thing to put up and convert into a step ladder- maybe it will get easier. It feels a bit like a device dreamt up by Leonardo da Vinci.

Exactly what I was looking for. A well thought out and designed piece of furniture which is acceptable in our living room and gives us a 4-step ladder with a safety rail, or a chair, or folds flat when not needed.

This is an excellently designed chair, and didn't even need to be put together. Nice solid wood, v pleased. The extending top of the backrest is a particularly good feature - makes a great hand rail for added safety.

Really nice product. It is heavy if you need to move it around a lot - and a bit of a fiddle to fold up as you need to make sure the notches etc are seated in the holes or it will open up again as you lift it. But much more attractive than the utilitarian style of step-stool which are lighter but ugly!
